How was Snetterton house?
Scary mate, really not happy in the wet, tyres felt awful.
I've just ordered some Michillen P2L full wets.
I have just booked brands for 11/11/19 and that's set to be wet, I'm also going to get the car for a 4 wheel align to check where it's at as I'm not convinced the setup is where I want it.

I was at brands on Monday spectating with a few friends doing a trackday, one of them was using the P2L's on his corsa and coming in from a soaking track after a 15 min session and the tyres were hot and sticky so I fancy a bit of that.
I can't seem to switch on the yoko's that I've been using but I'm assured these P2L's are the wet tyres to use. We'll see.
Few things to report on the car, pit lane limiter is now fully working, as is the dash2 page flip function button! Little things!!
My gear oil cooler seems to have died but I've got a new one on order and I need to get the temp sensor into the box some how.
P2L’s are the tyre to be on in the rain!!
Managed a 1:02 at Brands on a damp track.
Got black flagged for noise just before lunch which put a
dampener on things!!
Little video, barely more than half throttle at any point in the video as they told me another black flag would end the day.
I had the legs on the GTR but couldn't use full throttle cos of the noise!!!!

Little bonus video
Love those videos House, even some on power oversteer too.
Wasnt a nice day for Snetterton, hence why I didn't show my face. It's like being at Santa pod when it's raining there.

Hahaha I remember that on power oversteer just after I passed the RS3!! It's so controllable in the dry and power solves everything!!
The diff is great, really recommend the Gripper, being able to turn in and power to the apex just feels immense.
As for Snet, I've never had a dry session there!!! Need to do a summer day!!
Looks it.
Certainly try Snet in the summer, can then get the other problem, too much heat. I was there watching the touring cars on the friday with the temp up at 34 degrees. Lol

Few minor little things.
Went back up to track and road to check a few bits and bobs.
First up was noise reduction, I used this at Cadwell previously and wanted to check it didn't affect the AFR as sometimes air boxes can cause problems
https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...e40d02d671.jpg
Pleased to report no change at all and although it's hard to check when inside it did reduce the decibel meter reading by a few decibels so we'll see what happens
Another little plus was that we actually made 250.6bhp but slightly less torque but I'll take 250bhp however I can get it!

Jim and Steve said fuelling is very very safe and with a bit of leaning 255+ would be achievable!!
So, air feed for the air box, hose is too long as I've got a reverie airbox on order and don't want to cut it down yet, headlight needs painting, both temporary solutions to see if it makes a difference

Also, crash damage repair!!

Might see if I can get a brands day in next week see if any of it has made a difference.
New front lower spoiler neded ASAP
Good video house, gotta say it would have got my juices going playing with that gtr on track I’d have been grinning ear to ear
Playing with that gtr would have got my juices going bud I’d have been grinning ear to ear
Awsome build thread be reading this on and of for a while the attention to details second to none for a track car , s**t about your wee off on the track
Got my proper air box from reverie fitted up.
Mega impressed, lovely looking bit of kit, had to offset it to the left to clear the dry sump tank but it's there.

Hoping that kills the noise.

Thats some course weave on the airbox spacer :D love it
Very nice indeed, always love Reverie stuff, and the cam cover is cool too.

Always good watching you two fly around the track. :thumb:
Any updates or tinkering while in isolation House? Any plans moving forward?
Hey mate,
I've been flat out working!! Haven't really stopped, plus after 10 years of practice our son was born on 14/2/20 so been a bit pre-occupied with him.
However, I do have 4 trackdays booked between now and the end of August.
I've also got my new top mounts to install, very sexy, along with a few other little bits and bobs to change that are annoying me.
Main plan is to use it hard over the rest of the year and see where we are.
I need some front brake cooling, front and rear wheel speed sensors for TC in the wet and I'm possibly looking at a complete re-wire.....again!!
I'm also looking at sorting a storage unit for work and buying a motorhome so it's all go this end!!!
Yours is looking mental!!!!
Congrats on the little one! Practice makes perfect!
Looking forward to seeing the upgrades you have planned.
Congratulations, a baby is guaranteed to slow car jobs down. Look forward to some updates and track videos.
Nick
Congratulations

Cheers lads,
Brands on 21st, I'll hopefully get some decent videos up
Congrats on the little'un! Sounds like yo had a lot of practise.
Kiss goodbye to the project for a while, unless your mrs is super understanding :d
Been a while but I've been pottering around!!
Ben found a guy 3D printing shrouds for the Dash2 we both run.

Should help with the glare.
Also been waiting on the new top mounts to come in, Ben has had these machined up
Originals

Notice the circlip on the bottom and the step on the top.
Meaning we could only get it over and back so far

New ones are flipped over, something people do with the originals but we weren't happy with the whole load going through the circlip.
Hence

Bolted them on

With all the settings the same, apart from lowering the bottom spring cup 15mm to account for the upstand being on the bottom, we went from 2 degrees of negative camber to off the gauge, which goes up to 7!!
Dialled the adjuster on the shock to knuckle bolt to land somewhere around 3 degrees. More caster now too.
I'll get a 4 wheel alignment booked for next week and fingers crossed we can get the setup where I want it.
Brands on 23/7 so I'm nearly ready.
