Glad they finely came yeah, 2nd time lucky i guess..lol
No, the arm rest is a mk4 Astra item, fitting will be interesting...
lol
Ohh astra, your gonna have to chop up the centre console a treat to get that to fit then.
Nah, will go down to the tunnel directly. Think that will be the easiest and nicely way.Quote:

A pillar trims, where painted in a satin black. Bored of that, so thought they'd look nice covered in the headliner martial..

Cut the shape..
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y23...etrimming7.jpg
Glueing it on.

All done.

Was thinking i'd have to get my sun visors retrimmed by a trimmer cause they would have to be all made up and stitched, but then thought i'd have a go with the satin plastic and vinyl paint..
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y23...Retrimming.jpg
Not to bad, painted the marital too as i wanted less colour, kinda like that you can just still see the blue..
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y23...trimming10.jpg
Did the visor clips too and the plastic pins as well.

Found out that my rad was leaking and changing some of my hose's so thought i might as well go all and put something abit nicer in.. Picked this up from TX motorsport on Ebay. Have a few of his bits now.
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y23...on/Allyrad.jpg
Nice bit of welding too..
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y23...n/Allyrad3.jpg
Should help with the heat too..
Next is to take the front end apart and fit eveything.. Will be replacing my turbo inlet while i'm there. The glued up one was really a temp bodge but seems to have lasted a while...
love the visors benn, top DIY as usual
what you paint them with and method?
the guy who did my roof lim=ing has lost thos facking clips (thosser)
Halfords do a plastic and vinyl paint. Its very good. I did one as a tester really, all i did was clean it then paint it. Should of rubbed it down really..lol As it will prob flake off. But these are spares so i another pair better.
did u dust coat the SR trim to?
Which trim?
the blue trim on front of visor, its not the factory blue grey?
Ah yeah, i sprayed over it the same as i did the rest. The blue now of very lightly shows. Which is what i wanted.
nice, the normal just stand out a bit too much
cant believe GSi's didnt come with black visors with vanity mirror
stupid GM
But then it wouldn't match the headliner.. Almost all car makers do light colour headliners for the lighteyness reason.
Top Banana as usual dude.
Yea top work benn really like the look of your car.:thumb:
Cheers guys.
Am trying to do my parcel shelf at the mo, but am in a bit of pain so its a hard one.
Looking good dude i will drop those bits off once you have started to strip the front end and pick up the F20 too.
Benn. I added to your wanted ad; re the sunroof bits.
GC
Cheers James,
Cheers Craig, any info over our pm talk?
Started stripping the front end off today.
Got the rad and fans off, ic out in pipes, taken the old water pipes off.
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y23.../Frontend5.jpg
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y23...n/Frontend.jpg
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y23.../Frontend2.jpg
Trail fitted the new thicker ally rad.. Fits good, need to trim off the old mounting lugs
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y23.../Frontend4.jpg
Need to let the front end and floor dry off a bit then i can do some trimming from where i made room for the ic pipes so will be making that look better even tho its not seen.
So picked this up at Machine Marts vat off day today..
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y23...n/IMG_8542.jpg
Need to flush the water system out too.
Rad looks good mate - what size are your fans? VAT off day at machine mart aaahhhh i nearly went today but couldn't be arssed!
Pair of 7", they work really well take the temp down nicely, would of liked 8" ones but just don't have the room. Rad is really nice and very well made.. Might do something special to it tho... Vat off days rock.
Something special?? no more super steel though right??Quote:
