Benn's on going build

Right From the last pics up there ^ I sanded the fiber glass back, but found the bit i had welded in was still a bit warped so i have to tap it back abit. But in doing that i broke a few welds so i ground them back and rewelded them, this time getting them much better and stronger.

Refiberglass over the welds and then got it all sanded back.

So gave it a skim of filler to get it nice and smooth.

So with that drying i started to clean up the front pannel where the rad sits.

The round holes get wet from rain and if the rad leaks (which i found out mine does) and i wanted to clean up the welds as well.

Got some rust killing cleaner stuff. Works very well bubbles away then you can just wiper it off and the rusts gone..

Got a bit carried away and started to wirebrush off any hidden seam that looked a bit grotty..

With that done i got back to sanding down the filler, smooth ish needs a little more which as been put in but not rubbed down yet.

But as machine mart had their vat off day i poped up and picked up a few bits.. Got a cone cutting set, a few wirebrush ends for my drill and a set of tapping hammers and dolls. Which are handy..

Have you tried the argoshield disposable bottles on your welder? Much nicer looking weld than C02 IMO.
