After not really being that interested in the Olympics, I've been sat here for a little while watching the Cycling at the Velodrome with Amber next to me. Really exciting stuff :)
Amber has learnt to cheer on the folks with red hats on :) Also got her cheering on Canada for Bronze as we have family there lol
And another gold.....
Thought they were going to lap the USA team lol
did you see the lightweight womens skulls this morning, they won, stopped, looked round, suddenly realised they won & then cried like babies from that moment on, thru the interviews, and medal ceremony...i hope the poor girls have stopped crying by now
I'm loving the olympics, and I don't like sport much normally. It such a positive event, with people from all over the world who dedicate their lives to try and be the best, even if they don't win a medal its inspirational stuff. I'll be sad when its all over.
i was discussing the end of the games with some friends earlier & we'd love to see the positivity keep going as long as possible, and hopefully the olympic legacy people have got some tricks up their sleeves to keep people fired up.
I hope it will inspire a lot of kids to get out from behind their TV and games console and get into Sport. It annoys me to see kids sat inside all the time and not going out even when the sun is shining. When I was a kid I was outside as much as I could come rain or shine.
It'll inspire a bunch of lard **** fatties to get on bikes.... It's got me thinking about getting a bike again, not a racer but a lazy xc lol
