This stonechip says it dries but stays flexible, so maybe a covering of that over the Hammerite will be fine, as if the stonechip chips off there'll be the 2 coats of Hammerite to protect it still. Can top up the stonechip in a year or two anyway!
Adam, TBH I can't remmeber how low I run it, the picture looks tighter than it actually is, it's only tight at the back but I can almost get my finger between the wheel and the arch.
Thanks skidz, it's getting there! Defo a much more solid shell than when I started it.
Should be sound then. Mine bottoms out that low so ive got to get it back up before Combe (change of springs)
I think I used to run mine a bit higher than that, but the rears would go fairly low.
Made a start on the new pedals, well, as much as you can without the actual brake setup.

Brake setup to be ditched:

Clutch pedal in place. Needs the bar cutting off and some extra mounts welding on as it's too flexible at the moment:

Column fits the rack, but is actually too short to come up far enough! Any ideas for how to lengthen it, perhaps at the universal joints?

Motor hits battery tray at the moment too:

But at least it's straight!

Thanks to this:

Mount will be roughly here, but the column doesn't even reach the mounting points at the moment:

Good work, hehe at your lil 12 year old hand.
^^ lol leave him alone ^^ lol,
You've chopped every bracket off the car to save weight, and then fitted that heavy old power steering unit, which by the way is for poofs:gay: lol
I'd just lengthen what you have, if you can, if you can't, I have a few universal joints and Corsa columns.

Leave my girly arms out of it Benn. lol
Engine partially cleaned up and stripped down, ready for head to be removed when I can get out and buy some stupid torx socket things:
