The turbo shell is all ready to be painted! But dont think the bodyshop can fit it in for a few weeks yet.

15mpg? Bent bit's here and there and it did have a few spots here and there of rust underneath. And at the time, i couldn't insure it as i hadn't been driving long enough. It was a fun car but the GT is alot nicer to drive, better on fuel and more tunable without engine swap. Just as quick as a XE too :p
I needed new tyres for the SR, but managed to find 4 SRI steelies knocking about with near enough new 175/65/R14 tyres, so what I saved on them today I thought I'd spend on some rollcage tubing. Eventually managed to find a place that does the semaless tubing!
Got a 6m length, and this 5mmx25mm bar to make the saddle brackets up with.
Need to get a pipe bender and then I can crack on with the doorbars!

Paul, the colour of the steelies i painted is Ford Graphite Grey with a few coats of Laquer if you wanted that look again :D

The Rear Strut Brace is now completely welded in, (thanks to Glenn!), stengthened where my tie bars mount to at the front seeing as they had cracked the lower X member again :roll: , and also sanded the rest of the inside down, andcut the hole for the Cav Internal Shifter. Massive thanks to Dar for writing that guide, couldnt have been better timing! lol

No update as such on the car.
Howeve have ordered the new seat inserts for my buckets as blue wouldnt match the new colour.
Ordered a new rad, and also some perspex for the front widnows. And got my new intercooler through today:
Chose to stick with the Evo VIII one as it is originally designed for 300-400bhp, and also has been tested by Mitsi for everyday use, so better than aftermarket ones IMO:

ok mate,uber customs make cooler pipes for the evo cooler that fit the calibra turbo.

www.coilsprings.co.uk sell 90mm springs - I used to use them.
Obviously you need shorter dampers too...
