Or have you got Sport ID of an old shell?? Im not a copper lol im just curios as we had this problem many time with regards to the 106 Challenge Cup (rally) hehehe
You said you was from derby nova.sport? where abouts and who did the paint job for you, where and how much ???:thumb:
Dude thats funking stunning,
really startight and very well paint,
loveley
where you get it dont and how much for it?
very sexy :)
very nice!!!
omg that is sooo nice! its perfect!!
Looks simply awesome. Adrian's work is second to none. Which is why i'm going to all the trouble of transporting my shell from NI to him. Dedication or what? lol (some say its insanity!)
Keith
Thats some hot sh1t right there !
Looks like glass, awesome!!!!!!!
absolutly stunning, just curious as to how u can change car id. do u have to bring it to a dvla mot station to let them check if it meets requirements or just to say it is fine.
me mate had a problem were he bought a stolen recovered nova and wen he tried to get a log book he had to bring it to there for them to check it.
thats a VIC check :)Quote:

Thats what I thought, its not been written off and put back on the road or reshelled into another car(Ringing?) so don't think it needs checking by DVLA unless anyone knows any different.
Just like replacing panels with new items, just its all of em!
If a bodyshop reshells a damaged car for an insurance company I dont think they have to inform the DVLA
Omfg, that paintwork is truely unbelieveable
Your going need a steady hand when fitting the engine etc to not scratch it lol
Can i ask, is it Ade's own bodyshop, or is he still at VW?
Its not his bodyshop, he only does these as a favour and only gets time on a saturday to work on them. Not sure if he's still with VW but about a year or so ago he moved bodyshops.Quote:

I think his work is excellent, I preferred to take it to him rather than the Aston, Jag & BMW approved bodyshop we use at work!
Oh and one more thing............

Think that explains it :D
Nick, From what i remember Ade painted your car quite a few years ago when Nick Caros mum still owned it, and if i remember right he did'nt paint the whole car.. but not completely sure on that.. Can't remember if Dave did any paintwork on that one or not.Quote:

Rich its just a shame its all being covered in sport stickers
wasnt aware keith was already bringing his car over here for dipping, and wasnt having ago at this fellas work, but there are other body shops out there that are awesome too i.e the place where Im sending mine its 5mins up the road lolQuote:

I had 3 quotes from top bodyshops here. The place that painted andysnovasport.co.uk wanted close to 3k, and another wanted 2.5k, just to paint a bare shell!!!
There probably are better painters out there, but i've not found them and decent money. I've had 2 full resprays now by what were so called professionals and both cost alot of money, so this time i'm taking no chances and going to somewhere i can trust.
Keith
Pity the f**ckers dont fit, arrgh. Might be plain white in the end:roll:Quote:

They are genuine 3M precut ones, they all fit OK, just the door handles are in a slightly different place I think, need to check them again really
Oh yeah remember you saying that to me now mate. Arent they slightly over sized in length so you can jiggle em about a bit??
looks superb mate
its kind of a pity to put the stickers on when it looks that good as most of the outstanding paintwork will be covered
but then it wouldnt b a sport really then
wil b an outstanding car no matter what, when its its finished
you can say that again :)Quote:

Turned out an old boy had parked up while he went looking for a new grille for it & whilst I was stripping his car.lol
Quickly bolted it back up & they took it back round to him & he was none the wiser! Ooops!
