shame they are 5 stud but the VW boys use things like this, so it could be possible

Im going to keep the irmscher wheels regardless as there not easy to come buy brand new.
Hopefully i will be getting the comps as well, gives me a couple of options then.
As for the brakes, i fitted them today and tryed the irmscher wheels to see if they fit. theres plenty of room exept the caliper catches the spokes, so ill need to space the wheels out about 5mm, does anyone know if this will effect the handling?
I will get some pics at some point.
thought id better do a bit of an update. Brakes are all bleed up and working now. Had to space the front wheels out by 8mm to get them to clear the caliper, so ive also spaced the rear wheels out by 5mm. I brought a stud conversion kit last week, certainly makes fitting the wheels alot easyer
I sold my 80mm springs and replaced them with some 60's, took the front coilovers up by about 15mm.
Interior is finished just need some funds to get my carbon doorcards now.
Im going to insure the car tomorrow, so hopefully ill have it taxed on monday. ive booked off monday and tuesday to finally run the enigine in.
Made a start on the detailing of the bodykit last night, i think it makes a big difference.

Looks miles better twag with the stickers in the kit :)
Excellent, as said are you doing the rest of the kit?

Good to see you put the 60mm springs to use :)
Looking good! Be nice with some of the decals for the kit :)
Graphics will come at a later date once the 6 speed box is in. Im not really happy with the spray job so will proberly get it done again towards the end of the year. Ill get the graphics then.
Cheers for the comments guys.
Damn that looks cool.
been clocking up some miles over the last couple of weeks, engine seems to be running alot better now. I had to change the lamda sensor, got a genuine one from auto vaux. Hopefully get my phase 2 chips fitted soon.
Ive also fitted my carbon doorcards that i brought recently, they look spot on! Pics will follow tomorrow.
Sort of reminds me of a wide boddied R5 turbo from the back

Looks nice mate really old skool
I think the only thing I would do now is put a personal reg on it, something a bit older - To make it represent a Mk1 Nova
Nice though :)
looks ace mate! loving what you have done to the customisedperfection window sticker! lol
disaster has struck!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Went out for a 40 mile trip to micheldever tryes yesterday, had to show my mate where it was and wanted to get a tyre fitted to my spare wheel. All went well on the way up and thought i would get my tracking done whilst i was there.
This was when the fun started, the guy got the car in the bay and had a quick look underneath only to find the oil pressure sender i had fitted the day before was mangled due to the driveshaft hitting it.Couldnt risk it being broken off as i would have a distinct lack of oil pressure. Luckly the guy let me use a spare ramp to remove the sender and refit the original pressure switch.
So tracking is done, tyre fitted, and sender is removed. before i left i decided to fit some new plugs set up to 0.7mm gap as ive had a misfire at high rpm and wanted to see on the drive home if this was the fault. This is when my day came to an end. fitting the 3rd plug, and just as it started to tighten up it started spining!!!!!! thought i had stripped the thread in the head, but how? it hadnt even tightened right up. Removed the plug to find it had snaped!!
The plug has broke off leaving only the thread in the head, must have been a seriously defected plug. Not happy at all!! Will get some pics later.
not all bad, could of been much worse. dont get me wrong gonna be a pain in the **** getting it out
That happens all the time on ford ka's and fiesta 1.3's shoudn't be too bad to get out. The easiest way i found is hammering in a torx socket and winding it out like that (sounds a bit pikey i know but it works)
well i managed to get it out, just pushed a large phillips screwdriver down it and wound it out. Then got the hover, adapted it to take a small bore pipe and hovered out the bore to removed any metal bits. going to get a magnet stick to be sure there is nothing in the bore.
Dissaster averted then lol
Good news mate! you did seem some what pissed on the phone yesterday! i run a .6 gap on my plugs!, if your still on coil id get a nice ford grp A item in there aswell as i had problems with my coil i bought from a motorfactors giving missfire.
plugs;

Moved the battery to the back, used a make shift battery tray from an instrument casing fromwork.

And removed the dreaded sound deadening from the front, ready to be sprayed in a couple of weeks
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...g/S8001774.jpg
Finally i fitted the new tailgate, think it looks alot better than the smoothed boot.
