nice update bud
lot off work ,keep it up :thumb:
You're a good lad heds I couldn't of asked for better pictures! It's all I hoped it would be. The clearance look excellent. I'd be tempted to try the cooler to one side. Mock it up and see if your happy with the looks of it.
Then it's a case of if you more bothered about looks or function.;)
Nice work. :thumb:
I like the look of the Rad.
ive now got room for a chargecooler rad hmmmmmm
Why not just run a charge cooler?
Get a universal ally rad (for the charge cooler) of ebay to fill up the bumper cut-out and get a massive pwr charge cooler
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/UNIVERSAL-...item1c1acfcf86
this is looking really nice good work
Don't think it would look odd as you'd have the filter there so it'd be clear as to why the cooler is off centre.
the thing i dont want to do is make it all out function over looks drag car, i like my cars to be visually satisfying. like speckys tigra, its an awesome epic car but looks a bit messy in the engine bay, i like neat hidden tucked wiring etc.
but i still want mega power, but i want it lookin cool
ive got a pwr chargecooler in my sights but at over £1000 its killing me, ive managed so far to build this car on a budget compared to my last nova which cost £10k to build. so far im only upto about £5k.
lets see what happens ;-) santa might be good
liking the mk4 dash!
A chargecooler setup has just been put up for sale in the for sale section, dont know if its of any interest for you mate?
>CLICKY<
IMHO don't use a charge cooler.
Although in fairness the PWR is the only one I've heard of that work okay. But at that price I''d funking hope it would!
well not a lot going on at the minute, just had some metal work removed from my foot so im kind of out of action at the minute.
i did pick up an z20leh block last week

Cheers for the calipers bossman, pleasure to meet you mate even though it was farking freezing!
Foot looks gory man :/ bit early in the morn for pics like that lol
what the **** did you do to that! and as for a pwr charge cooler, dont bother imo, they are ****, i had one on my renault 5 gt turbo, and it did nothing to the charge temps, and cost me almost a grand . waste of money.
Ouch engine on the foot. Nice idea with the mix of parts for the engine and transmission set up. The astra dash is a tidy addition :thumb:
i broke 6 bones in my foot last year tripping over a broken pavement and had 3 screws in it since, its never felt right so we decided it would be best to have them removed, so i did, then got home from hospital to find a letter from the solicitors to say that they cant continue trying to make a claim as they dont think id win pffft ba$tards was hoping for a nice lump of cash to put a deposit on the new astra gtc vxr next year :-(.
anyone on facebook? search 'vauxsausage nova vxr' and hit the like button to keep an eye on progress, cheers

This is what happens when you have 500kg worth of steel plates dropped on your lower leg. Safety shoes are always a good idea, just need to wear leg protectors next time! LOL

are there up-date's
not just yet, engine bay is empty now hopefully get an engine in there tomorrow, i messaged you on facebook arjo, did you get it?
little update, cant remember where i finished off lol
ive ripped everything out of the engine bay now to start with putting a real engine in so whilst all the parts where out ive cleaned/rebuilt/painted them, coated metal parts with galvanising spray for protection (and its a great primer) and then a couple coats of satin black, i think the black is working well with the red.
empty bay again :-)

and thats where i left it last weekend, hopefully get the head gasket on this weekend, head on and torqued up, then fit rest of engine up.
For the time being im gonna ditch a couple of plans to make sure the car is ready for PVS, Im not gonna bother fitting the astra dash or corsa column as thats something i dont want on my mind when I should be concentrating on the engine bay.
and i need to ask you all a favour, if your on facebook could you please vote for my to become the north east regional organiser for SFS performance.
simply type "marc hedley for north east REO" on the comments of this picture

would be a massive help guys, you can also follow the updates of the car on facebook just search 'vauxsausage nova vxr' or click that, dont forget to hit the like button to follow.
Looks awesome! Will be very nice when its done ;)
Looks like there's nothing to the front end with those crossmember/slam panel mods! Gonna give the crossmember a quick lick of paint while you're there?
Looks sweet though, you get all the braided lines made up already?
Update required! :thumb:
sorry ive not been on much, really dont think im gonna have it ready for PVS12, which im a bit gutted about but working away from home i just dont have the time, Ive got the engine in place and most parts on it, just need to make my mind up what to do with the rad/water pipes and the intercooler.
but I got the corsa b servo put in place yesterday, reduced the pedal box down to just a clutch pedal and mounted the electronic throttle pedal.
couple of pics
