Nice collection of GM parts
I like the way your going about the project
Can't beat original parts - were they expensive to buy?
Hmmm... maybe I could start my own GM parts business...
Maybe, what are you looking for scorge?
Cheers Niekos!
You only have to cross the channel mate! lol Cheers!
You're welcome mate, you fitted it yet?
You just can't beat new parts, I even have new windscreenwipers front and rear...
Thanks Edd, I want to sort most of the parts before starting with the restoration. That saves me time and frustration in the end.
Tek, not at all, the side skirt rear part was only € 25,00. The rest was way under that. The parcel shelf was the 'most expensive part' at € 47,00. Had it shipped to our German office in Bonn last week where I picked it up as I had some meetings planned there.
The front wing was only € 35,00 had to put some pressure on the seller to sell it to me though.... ;)
Cheers for the comments guys!
Cleaned the Irmschers last weekend. They need to be refurbed though. But the guy who's refurbing them didn't have time for that until beginning of January... Then the centre caps will have to be sprayed separately, as the alloys will be powder coated, so I'll have to sort out new i logo's to go on the centre caps when painted.

i got a unmarked gsi dash of him a couple of weeks ago
and he offered me the front seats, rear seats, front cards (with speaker holes)
and rear quarters for not a bad price.
if i think back the front seats were very clean, rear seats had head rests in
stu
You two are mad lol
Hi Stu, yeah same guy!
small world?????????????
or not that many crazy people like us?
like i said i saw the seats and they are clean, no wear
i picked the dash up for my other new project from a little back
street garage and the man told me somebody came in with a nova with
a let engine in it and wanted the engine out, and he was able to keep
what was left of the nova to sell.
are you getting all the rest on the interior
if you look at his feedback for him on ebay
you will see what i paid for the dash!!!!!!

I can't wait for our "little" tour to the UK! I'm going to get 2 polyester doors and a couple of 4mm lexan windows for my little nova dragster.
So after a good 3,5 hour sleep I picked up Pastry yesterday morning at 05:00 CET and we drove off to Calais to cross the Channel via Eurotunnel.
We picked up my interior in Crawshawbooth and met up there with MattBrown and 16xe_chris. Chris made up some glass fibre doors for Pastry and Matt picked up the new door, bootlid and sill I brought him from OCP. He also picked up Mark's side skirt sills.
After a good chat we left Matt drooling around a Lotus Omega and drove off to Nailsea to pick up lexan windows at ACW. Had sone fish n chips in Nailsea and a cuppa tea at Tony's and we headed back to Folkestone.
We did some 1125 miles in 24 hours yesterday. But it was worth it.
Wonder what I'm doing next weekend... LOL
It was a great day and night! I've made also a little report with some pics.!
So Vlietje had the same problem as me, How to get parts from the UK to the mainland. Vlietje invited me to come woth him to the UK to just get the stuff. It was an nice trip!

Was at Sinterklaas http://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sinterklaas celebration with the kids. Slept for three hours on Saturday morning. Rise and shine at 09:15 a.m.
Will give you a call tomorrow, I'm babysitting my youngest at the moment. She's trashing her Duplo... LOL
@nova_niek It was a hard thing to keep Vlietje awake, because I was sleeping quiette a lot.
So, a small update as the car is still in hibernation.
I've decided to stay with the OEM spec restoration, so the fancy blackpanel Sony radio has to go. Got my hands on a original 1992 brochure and price list. The SC 202 radio was the standard radio for the GSI. The SC 303 was an upgrade. So I sourced some 303's on fleabay. Managed to buy three, just to make sure I have some spare parts etc. This one came with two displays, manual and the original code card.

Also found an OEM handbrakecable:

And here's the SC 303 in the (German) brochure:

nice, so no Iphone extention for you. :D
Can't beat this: http://store.apple.com/nl/product/TW683ZM/A
Nice little touch with the stereo
Whats the plans with the car then? Does it need a full strip down panels and paint?
Never seen the display case before (brings back memories, had this head unit in my dads 94 cavalier td)
Edd, Yes I need new 1/4 panels on the rear, N/S is bad, O/S still looks good. But I think it's best to change them both. Found the rear OEM 1/4 panels, will pick them up within two weeks. The O/S door has a hole in it, but I've sourced some very mint replacement doors. Tow bar needs to be removed and a new GSI bumper fitted. Bumper already sourced.
Plan for 2012 is:
Full strip down for the underside of the car.
Front and rear running gear full strip down, blasting and powder coating
Fitting Bilsteins B6 dampers front and rear
Fitting my Eibach Pro-Kit
Change all brakeparts for new gear (ATE or OEM)
Rebuild the engine and sort the engine bay.
Full shell rebuild/strip down/ paint is planned for 2012/2013 to celebrate the car's 20th anniversary...
Liking your plans buddy, and the radio is a really nice touch !
looking forward to your plans mate
I think its time I drop by for a cup of tea. without milk our suger ;-)
Also ordered something to keep the wife happy:
Eibach Pro-Kit for her Grande Punto...
