If Rich doesnt I do on my invoice somewhere.... You'd be best off getting either me or Rich to get them and post as they are damn expensive especially if you want lockers too.Quote:

Been busy .......lol
After realising that I wouldn't have it on the road for the summer I kind of gave up tbh, got some motivation back a few weeks ago.
Mainly been concentrating on the engine bay,
Fitted;
New alloy rad, new rad rubber mountings and new clips
Fitted my other cylinder head with enlarged inlet and exhaust valves, new studs, painted cam housing and head in VHT, fook knows if it will stay on lol, irmscher cam over on top of it all.
Painted Irmscher inlet satin black the sanded back the letters back to match the rocker cover and fitted it.
New header tank, repainted metal water pipe and Roose hoses fitted with stainless jubilee clips.
Few pics;

Pics could be better but can't find my camera so had to use phone.
Found out that the loom in the car is a very early one on NONE of the plugs match the new sensors I have, rad fan, horn, reverse switch, rad stat, plus more need chopping off and correct ones soldering on, lucky I have a spare loom.
More updates over the next few days, just pleased as it looks like iv made some progress. lol
Got to get some tyres for my new wheels next week.
Edd.
Looks very very nice mate! Irmscher bits look good
Cheers Vaughan, really motivated with it ATM
Picking up a Courtenay converted 1300 tomorrow all being well, will fit the turbo bits when the engine is run in.
Looks good Edd! keep up the good work
Engine bay looks great!
Ooh it's looking goodie goodie gum drops, loving the irmscher goodies very nice.
One word: Tyres lol ;)

Got some pipe for fuel lines so will do that and the filler neck as well
Door handles and locks have been installed as well, pics of them next time.
wow just had a look for that tyre size on Blackcircles and £50 for a budget per tyre fitted or £90 for Pirelli P6000
Christ
Edit haha thats for 2 lol
Yeah there not cheap lol
Place in town will do me a good deal tho
Looking good anyway mate :thumb:
1300 turbo coming aswell :) liking the sound of that
Me too, be a while before that happens tho, need to finish the car and run the engine in first, would like to have 130bhp out of a 1300, plus it's loads cheaper than my original supercharger idea.
yea was going to say must be cheaper than the old supercharger route, still think it needs doing properly thou. will be a quick sport then on the orignal engine ish lol
Your only putting a turbo on to have a dump valve, you chav you lol
Will the internals of the engine be okay for a turbo conversion, and the compression. Sorry I'm not up on the turbo side of things.
im guessing this courtney one he is buying will have low comp pistons or a spacer plate of some sort
The 1300 engine I'm getting has low comp pistons so they will just need to be fitted, need to speak to Courtenay bout the rings tho. There will be no need for the spacer plate/2 headgasket job, think Courtenay only went down that road due to the cost of custom pistons like the ones I'm getting.
Comes with cast manifold same one I think that came on a 1600 8v turbo conversions, a t2 turbo and down pipe.
Will be a few days work to get it converted once the car is on the road IMO
Will be very unique which is what I'm trying to achieve with my Sport
Edd's unique Sport. I like it would be a better name for your project title.
Turbo engine sounds alllllll good then.
Dont butcher that loom, took ages getting that right! lol
You may have issues with the AST2 cam and the turbo injection system together.
Looking good though, liking the work so far.
looks realy good pall. plans sound great can't wait to see this in person.
Cheers Rich glad your liking it so far, everything takes so long to get right tho
That looms been giving me a big headache lol Is it a very early loom then ? Lots of the plugs don't match up.
Iv got a brand new gte cam that will be better suited to the turbo.
Its the correct loom for a Sport, only difference was the bulkhead grommet as the later mk1 shell had a slightly larger hole.
edd - why not build your own loom from scratch to suit your setup
Si, got the car loom sorted now, spent a few hours last night doing it.
Irmscher injection loom will need lengthening tho.
still no pics of wheels on car :(
p.s keep up the good work
looks fooking lush this matey!!!
Just skimmed through it all Edd, looks amazing, glad to see your enthusiasm is in it, and this will be better then that "mint" SR wink..
Keep it up mate.
