Just read through and i've got to say im very jealous, would love to have such a good base to build onto. Will look cracking when your done with it and the engine should go well too!
I think you should of cleaned/painted the engine up it lets the rest of the immaculate car down.
Looks clean enough to me! I prefer the standard look.Quote:

Just read through all of this, done a cracking job fella, not sure on flame red though, sorry, will see how it looks in a couple of years time, hoping to buy Gunnys GSi shell and am debating whether to keep it black or change the colour!
I would match the paint on the headcover and get a new 1.2 transfer made and make it look like mint condition original.
still an awesome car either way mate.
Red should be OK in a few years time, it's laquered so shouldn't fade like an original Flame Red.
Was thinking of getting a "1.6 TWIN 40" transfer made for the rocker cover, as the injection part is a bit out of place now!!
That would be nice and original, id go for it mate.
Was all set for putting on the bumpers and sideskirts today, but it turns out my front bumper carrier has a bad twist in it so the bumper doesn't sit too well!!!:bash:

Strange??
Ah well im sure you'll find another bumper bracket ( i have one, but would cost to much to post to Ireland)
Scott
You can still get them from Vauxhall for about £20ish, so will get one ordered on Monday, I think they should all be the same?:confused:Quote:

Currently fitting:
New inlet manifold
Full exhaust system
Trying to find a brake pedal (couldn't get the brakes bled the last time I worked at it which is why I threw the head up!)
Side skirts and bumpers
good weather for it, any more pics
No more pictures, I can't understand how anyone has the time to work and take pictures at the same time, hopefully have some complete ones next week!
give pornhub a rest and take few pics
Nice one pal

Well it has actually drove under it's own steam and passed an MOT tonight! Was dark by the time I got home, and was busy working on it until the bitter end so I'll get a few pictures tomorrow night! Glad its (almost) complete!

where did you get the pillars buddy
great looking car by the way :)
B pillar vinyls were bought through here, great fit, but black rather than blue/grey!
Pictures of it "complete", needs a hell of a clean and a bit of a tidy up inside. Back onto standard 14's as it was too low for the Softstars - they were hitting off the wings on full lock. Will be raised up and Softstars back on at some point!
