Must be up there with some of the stupidist things people have EVER said on the internet!

What do speedlines do other than look average... well let me explain.... The round things called "wheels" are there for the purpose of having rubber tyres fitted to them to aid in providing traction to the vehicle.

Without wheels your not going to be going anywhere so in theory you need these "wheel things" more than you need silly alloy cages.

Just to add my twopence worth too, i can actually see your point to an extent, but what your forgetting is that its very unlikely that in a crash, you'll get a piece of speedline alessio embedded in your skull. lol
