Had a lovely breakkie and chez saloony this morning then headed back to sunny dorset. Went for a little walk round a pond, kicked through the leaves and fed the ducks before heading to maccy d's for din dins. now at work till 3:30am. boo. but 3 days off after so yay
i still feel trash lol
We paid £6 for tickets to a local firework display..
Got to the venue in good time to find that the carpark was completely full (only one marshall handling the parking!)..
There must have been at least another 100 cars or so behind mine trying to park..
So I got out and drove to a nearby pub carpark (to find this quickly filling up)..
We parked there and waited..
..and waited..
After about half an hour, my sister rang me to say she'd been told that the fireworks didn't start at 5pm after all, but would be starting at 7.30pm!!!!
We left shortly after that (my youngest is 5 yrs old and I wasn't going to sit in the dark waiting another couple of hours)..
This was a local council arranged display..
Never again!!
I suspect that when the organisers announced the actual display time (7,30pm - 9.30pm (oh yes, breaks in between fireworks)), there would have been a load of angry people..
As the Kaiser Chiefs would say, I predict a riot (hopefully)!!!
epic lolQuote:
