ahh I didn't see your reply Ade, very interesting reading. I've spoke to several people before who say I will just get a Verbal Warning. Got lots of emails from people saying "good work" and such like over the last year so gonna take them with me. Also got someone to come into meeting with me who backs me up that I've never had a days training in the 3 years I've been there.
Already had a meeting with my line manager and held my hands up saying I've been stupid etc. Been having some issues with people at work incl line manager and commercial director treating/talking to me like sh*t and therefore me having no motivation.
Been a good day today, impressed line manager etc but its apparently out her hands now.
Waiting game sucks!!

mmm dangerous to do that - going to next employer they'll ask you for the reason you resigned...they'll also seek a reference...although old employers are not allowed to bad mouth you - if they do yoiu can take them to court.

Unless they have an internet usage policy which you signed (or clicked accept/ok on when you first used the internet at work) and they have a RECORD of this, you can tell them to go fcuk themselves tbh.

Ade has hit the nail pretty much on the head, as long as you haven't been accessing illicit sites (and trust me they will know) you may be in for a first stage disciplinary (verbal) or a written at the worst.
TBH if you're being allowed to sit surfing PNG all day it doesn't say too much for your management. If it is a case of not enough work there for you to do, you could be looking at redundancy :(

at my place of work we are allowed to use the computers / internet for personal use so long as it doesnt prevent me from working. In one of the postgrad offices we have about 4 / 5 computers that we use to play network games on lol. Then again the university is very laid back, and as long as work is done then inbetween i can do as i please, and as im very efficient I have lot of do what i want time lol.
