Yep cleaned them up today! got all the seams back to bare metal pics to follow tomorrow!
What gbox and drive shafts are you using with your 1.6 turbo? just curious as i cant see the standard items lasting long and i'm thinking of what to use on mine, also sorry if you've said already but what is the spec of the engine internals on your engine?
I have a F13 gearbox and standard drive shafts ive not had an trouble with them yet!As for my engine internals its all standard set up just got the courtaney spacer plate in between two head gaskets to achieve the right compression!:thumb:
I was running 170bhp (13psi) on the std box, clutch & shafts with no issues at all.
GM build large safety margins into their engines & transmissions. Unlike french hot hatches.

Started cleaning up my seams and i noticed a dodgy bit by the turret a so i cleaned it up and have made a 3mm steel plate
