Straights are all about power though to a certain extent :thumb:
Just seen the full res vids, top work Olly.
That concrete surface loosk pretty ****e, handling wise too.
So you did very well indeed :thumb:
some great driving there Olz and a cracking result to come 2nd wth it being ur 1st time at TOTB!
I can see how the extra power would be good on those straight bits but only if you're able to shave it off again quick for the next corner.
I do however think people right off a LET nova for a trackday car far too easily. I've seen how a p2 nova with diff and sccr can go!
I dont believe it! Chip never barks up the wrong tree!!Quote:

 Fantastic results olly. Well done mate! :thumb:
Very well done Olly :thumb: Really enjoyed watching you and the rest of the Team out in action yesterday! Was loving your maximum attack driving style on the handling circuit although Oli (DHDev) kept on chunting that a small block would of done better  haha. ;)
Well done again! Great result
Neil
I challenge Oli to sling a 100 shot through his puny engine and see what happens lolQuote:

whoa! thanks for all the comments... i'm chuffed to bits.
i shall host my other videos aswell, not just my fastest - just to see what/ where i did stuff differently etc
thanks for the pics!
did anyone get any external footage of my car? i know how it felt, with the 100shot kicking in, but i wanna see it from the outside lol
Simps- a phase 2 let will have less power and similar torque to Olly yet will be miles heavier.
A well sorted let might destroy Olly on the long tracks but IMO it wouldn't stand a chance on a tight twisty track like that.
Nice pics above, LOVING those videos.
An external view of one of Olly's handling runs, the quality isn't great as it was done on an digital camera, not a video camera. http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e2...h_MOV00639.jpg

Ho will it be miles heavier? the turbo doesn't weigh that much more than a std manifold surely?
Shaun Larnder's mustard SR is running P2 and a hybrid putting out 290bhp. Its also got diff and sccr quaife and thats really quick with the box.
Having never driven a car with NOS does it really balance the power difference between high power TBs vs Turbo?
What are the other cars in the fwd class running? na or turbo?Quote:

Oli - that vid is awesome thanks bud... got any of my 54s run? :)
Cheers for posting it up - anyone know how I save it?

Big power LETS will be on F28's as well. That doesn't help matters. I think youll be surprised at the difference if you add all the extra bits up.
simps, olly changed his windows from 3mm to 2mm to save some extra weight. do you really think he wants a big old turbo hanging off the front?. as for how much power no one knowsQuote:

Well over 260hp, much nearer to 280hp imo

Combined with a F28 its WAY heavier

Personally I dont rate a sccr on a let, a KKK is well out of puff after 5500rpm so if Olz bolted one to his he'd spend his life out of the powerband, feeling fast and being fast are 2 different things

Look at Gaz'd Corsa for a example, clearly gets up and fooks off, with a touch over 300hp its nearly as quick as a Tigra with 505hp as it has useable power, if you use a controller you can have it deliver the nitrous as smoothly or as aggressive as you like
What are the other cars in the fwd class running? na or turbo?
NA and Turbo, Fiat in question was 400hp Turbo
I guarantee with the power Olz has he could beat that with a more tracktime
And before anyone says it - lol
This time next year I will be 15kg lighter in person too
Now thats a mammoth poo! Make sure you take a pic!Quote:

Olz can't text as i'm at work. But I'll have a check on the cam later for more vids, i think i just have one of you against the Polo on the 1/4 and I think the vid I posted of the handling is before you started using the Nos.
Thanks Oli - any would be greatly appreciated, and I'll add them on here...
For now, been looking around and finding some more photos of my baby. Thanks to Neil Shaw (Orange Peel), and Mark Shaw (Bicco) for the following shots respectively

Is it worth adding a 5th bonnet pin?
lol I thought the same, but thats what you get, and thats what I was warned about when getting the uuuuber light bonnet, with very little bracing.
another bonnet pin = weight, so no lol
Any carbon bonnet pin gen? lol.
