should you have to rush in the pits mid session for some reason to whip a wheel off, all you want to be armed with is a 17mm, not fiddling about with a centre cap/ extra unsprung weight aswell.
They would be removed for the track to avoid them flying off and as you say ease of removing wheels. But still have them on at other times.Quote:
