Rubber lined P Clip's. Job done.
Or even rivet on saddle's.
Find a water hose the same bore and use that for the folding tabs cutting it open and sliding it over.
why not just get some of the standard screw on brake pipe clips that go onto the studs you're talking about? or is that me being stupid?
As others have already said Iain, rubber lined P-Clips is where it's at!!
and rivet them on, non of this pikey self tapper malarky!
Yeah thats what I was thinking of I think lol Some double plastic clip for holding them in place. Will hunt the scrappy for some!Quote:

Cheers Simps I'll do that, will have to cut them down one side to fit them thuogh as they probably won't slide over the connectors :thumb:
Waxoyled inside my doors, rear quarters, chassis legs etc with 'clear' (yellow) waxoyl. Not sure if I did it right as it doesn't look all that great, but thinning it down by standing it in hot water really helped it's application (followed by using a brush to smooth it out after spraying it on)

More electrics in place:

And we have power! Just wanted to check everything was working before cutting the loom to extend it to the front. All lights are working so good to start chopping and soldering...

Looks good mate but get more Waxoil in there lol Get it so it's dripping out onto the floor (That's the way we do it at work, that's when you know you have enough)
It didn't drip  Just went on and "stuck" in a matt/lumpy kinda way.
Aye I know what you mean...Maybe needs to be a bit thinner...?
Should protect it anyway though fella :)
Was out of a spray can so no way of adding thinners. The application of it wasn't anything like what I expected tbh (I may have done it wrong tho!)
Nah you won't have mate, maybe just the way it is...There's all different kinds of cavity wax like but just generalised as 'Waxoil'
Following on from the last picture, I have now chopped and soldered my loom to the new front half (the engine bay side of another Nova loom). Looks quite professional IMO lol

Also a trip to Vehicle Wiring Products to get my battery relocation stuff, just need a battery tray now:
http://iainel.co.uk/images/forums/NovaWIP2a/098.JPG
iainel i have a corsa b bolt in battery tray. pm me if its of use. i have a corsa m/c aswell....
Looking at getting an alloy aftermarket one, thanks anyway.
Dude just looking back at the pics of it after it came back from spray, looks ace, very nice Finnish in the pics, one thing though, what with the front wings being cut off at the bottoms??
Scott
Looking good, a legend must have told you where to do that loom...lol
Your getting it dirty inside
lol
shonky battery looks out of place lol
winter is coming dude

Off the stand and on with the flywheel with ARP bolts (torqued using SBD's instructions, loctite on the threads and graphite grease under the heads):

Clutch lined up by eye and cover plate on lined up with the markings on the flyhweel (piston 1 & 4 at TDC) so it all balances up:

Looking awesome there dude, some quality mincing, but erm its gonna run a bit lumpy with the cambelt routed the way it is in the last pic lol
Looking well, nice and clean.

Thats a fcuker of a job with the engine in!

Still, happy the main work is now over and it'll be much easier to do "bits and bobs" in the evenings. Thanks for all your nice comments.
That's my pro engine fitting father lol He did a good job actually, no paint was removed in the process :cool:Quote:

oooof, serious proper sex wee, engine looks the tits in there lionel.
Screw that Scott I'll stick to the standard alt lol Been tinkering with small bits not worth taking photos of in the week, but have sorted my shfiter out now, just need a new linkage pin from the scrappers.
Chopped the end off my mockup shifter, the one I'm using is a nice white colour:
http://iainel.co.uk/images/forums/NovaWIP2a/109.JPG
Straight bit of internal shifter and the end of the Nova one so it fits the linkage OK:
http://iainel.co.uk/images/forums/NovaWIP2a/110.JPG
While I'm there figured I'd fit my fancy new nylon gearknob (Quaife?), so off with the plastic bit on top:
http://iainel.co.uk/images/forums/NovaWIP2a/111.JPG
And ran an M10 tap down it:
http://iainel.co.uk/images/forums/NovaWIP2a/112.JPG
Welded up the shifter end:
http://iainel.co.uk/images/forums/NovaWIP2a/113.JPG
Quick lick of silver paint on the rod and bolted in place:
http://iainel.co.uk/images/forums/NovaWIP2a/114.JPG
Cleaned and repainted my rosejointed linkage:
http://iainel.co.uk/images/forums/NovaWIP2a/115.JPG
Bought myself a sexy battery tray too:
http://iainel.co.uk/images/forums/NovaWIP2a/116.JPG
Which will be bolted in here, central and nice and low down, and helps put a bit of weight in the back:
http://iainel.co.uk/images/forums/NovaWIP2a/117.JPG
Battery needs a clean ;) lol
Shifter work looks greats dude. The rose joints on the linkage look sloppy tho.. Guess they dont feel it.
iain im quite clued-up on the small alternator thing; pm me if you want any info - i did it for under £90.
Shifter looks nice; hope it'll do the job for you
