Probably billing. I must insist any photos are upload with the worst Instagram filter available though.

I'll be bringing the sting over to prove the colour again!
I can scan it with the paint scanner probs 50 shades of grey
Yo dawg lol
nice work on making it right Iain
When I built the car several years ago, the car/stands/driveway must have been on an angle. This means all that hard work putting in my seat rails led to both seats leaning towards the right.
The height of the rails were restrictive and I would occasionally hit my helmet on the rollcage, which wasn't ideal. So they needed fixing.
New measurements were done with a spirit level, and importantly a spirit level across the door shuts. This should make them more level.

I attempted the level the car off as well as possible, and you'd be surprised how wonky the rails are. They would run out 5-10mm across the width of each rail. lol

Chop chop.

Both sides shortened slightly, spreader plates on car cleaned and re-welded. The rails needed slightly fettling as did the floorpan (read: smash it with a hammer) to get the rails as low as physically possible:

You can see how much it's lower on the spreader plate compared to orginal:

I've also coupled this with going 1 bolt hole lower on the rear of my side mounts. To achieve this was a task in itself, and included:
1) Shortening the height of the bracket to clear the harness hole
2) Reversing one of the bolts, countersinking the metal and using a countersunk bolt (to clear the seat)
3) Using a shallow allen headed bolt on the sidemount-to-car just to clear the seat

This was a lucky fluke, luckily the seat feels nice in front of the harness eye bolt lol

New seating position is excellent, very low with good visibility still, and miles away from the rollcage
