good progress, this is the fun bit now, right..?
Its so nice working with brand new/clean parts aint it? lol
Good work, getting there.
Nice work, Iain, its nice putting clean things on a clean car, you come in with cleanish hands for once!
Looking good mate!
Yeah it's great, underside is filthy already tho, who thought white underneath would be a good idea lol
It's all good fun until something goes wrong, but so far so good everything is going smoothly.
Nice progress
Where did you get your new rear beam bolts from ?
Ill hazard a guess from Marks & Spencers.Quote:

I just bought loads of M6, 8, 10 and 12 nuts, washers and bolts in a variety of lengths. All 8.8 tensile so okay for use on suspension & anywhere else. Saves scrapping around cleaning up old crusty bolts!
Edit: Ordered about 10 of each length from here: http://www.fwb.co.uk/mall/department...roup/70417/1/1
I merely asked because they are NLS at Vauxhall and stainless ones will not be up to the job.Quote:

Marks and Spencers lol They're just 8.8 tensile 'bright zinc plated' bolts.

Looking spot on Iain :thumb:
Looks good Iain :)
Very good work dude.
is it wrong to have expected it to be going together quicker than this lol

Slow progress  I'm trying honest lol
I thought they were auto-adjustment? They're off a '91 car. Wish you'd said before as it's back on the floor, but I'll look at that next time it's up.
Plonked the EPAS steering column and wiring loom in place:
http://iainel.co.uk/images/forums/NovaWIP2a/088.JPG
Two M10 bolts holding it in place (I can remake/redrill the part between the bracket and the column to alter height and location of the column):
http://iainel.co.uk/images/forums/NovaWIP2a/089.JPG
Double jointed bit aids in straightening it up slightly:
http://iainel.co.uk/images/forums/NovaWIP2a/090.JPG
Got my loom temporarily in the bay too:
http://iainel.co.uk/images/forums/NovaWIP2a/091.JPG
Still thinking of making the front half of the loom unpluggable inside the car as discussed a few pages back.
Looking good,
Gotta hide that bay loom..... lol
This is going to be far too nice to hammer round a track after!
More slow progress, got the brake lines in the front, just need to find some rubber to cover them for the clips (any suggestions?) and some fittings to hold them against the bulkhead (again, any suggestions?)
http://iainel.co.uk/images/forums/NovaWIP2a/092.JPG
could you not use P-clips with the rubber already on the clips?
Could do, there's some lugs on the bulkhead already (seen in the pic) I was hoping to use, like some screw on plastic clips?
I need to put some rubber around it where it goes under the folding tabs too (in the arches)
P clips as plug said, then use plastic nuts from like a corsa B header tank/map sensor.
You can get rubber strips from ebay and the like for the fold bits. Lenghs of it i mean, like 1inch wide.
