When the handle was welded it the heat had warped the door very very badly, so the filler was used to strighten it out.Quote:

No, tiz all red :(
Ah. Sand it then fltt the letters off is the easy way, the way i did it was a bit harder...
Yeh i was thinking sand the letters back and polish them up, im not great at polishing though lol
www.yell.com Is your friend...
Lol id rather do it myself than pay someone (Skruge here) getting there with my porsche wheels now.
Yes and no, polish stuff is a back and finger killer.
Guy that really know what they are doing get a better result and alot faster... But yeah its nice to do your own stuff. I try to do both.
I should get the porsche wheels done profesionally but i cant really afford to atm. I see what your saying.
Sadly it gets like that, but what takes you four days sometimes they can do in a day...
Nice plug cover
V.true, its took me a hell of a lot longer
Cheers dude.Quote:

Love the opel ones, i was thinking about sanding the VAUXHALL completely off mine just leaving the DOHC 16V bit
Do like Austin did, make your own letters with filler etc.
You sand yours off scott yeah?
No sanding on mine..lol
The chrome had a nice flat finish on it and i didnt wanna mark the letters.Quote:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...s/IMG_8013.jpg
Waited to use a side light holder with led bulb, but on trying to fit i found it was way to big, as was the glass bit i had found. So made up this and the glass. Is only a temp fit, wanna make something a lil better up.

Got that fitted and wired up, used the old/spare wiper motor wireing to save running wires up the boot.
Then moved on to my mirror covers, as they had a few marks on them. Sanded, primerd and repainted.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...s/IMG_8017.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...s/IMG_8018.jpg
Then moved on to my fav kinda stuff.
So take one poilshed filler cap. And do this...
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...s/IMG_8022.jpg
Then sand..
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...s/IMG_8024.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...s/IMG_8025.jpg
Then buff up..( you can see all the blue, but the letters are nicely filled with it.)
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...s/IMG_8028.jpg
Thought of this while i was sitting in the boot, i bought it from Vauxhall years ago but never fitted it. As i've not seen a nova with one fitted, i thought i should fit mine..
