Your MO's in a nice dark grey and the car running nice and low on those AVO's will look superb. Dark grey wheels and Moss green body colour.Quote:

Dark grey looks like a good option then :)
Riggy, sorry lol
Carried on with some stripping earlier, exhaust system is off, interior is out bar the carpet, dash is ready to come out tomorrow. Then its just the carpets/loom to leave the inside bare....

I assume the springs are the standard avo supplied ones, 7" fronts, 10" rears.
All refurbed recently too.
Will probably keep hold of this set and sell my own fronts on.... :)
I want them!!
They look boo shank! lol
Snow plough!!!!!
Find me one for a good price ;)
Also, anyone know if any mk1s came with a black dash as standard??
Lol, prefered it without on mine tbh!Quote:

Looking at a few pics, so do i......
Might have to get the rattle cans out on a mk1 dash then see how it looks lol
Anyone got a grey mk1 dash(and underselves etc) ?
Doorcards are stuff will be staying black, mk2.
What colour are they at the mo?
The interior in the white one is currently black. GSi doorcards/rear seats, black buckets, black dash.
So was thinking of swapping everything over, but fitting a black mk1 dash to keep it looking a bit older to match the exterior.....
I'm sure I remember seeing someone selling a black mk1 dash on here last year. They are very rare tho, only one I'd ever seen! lol
The front springs are 7" you say? I'm sure my std avo's were 8". Fairly certain the 300lbs are 8" too.
The front springs on these are 7" aye. Maybe they aint the std avo ones.
mk1 dashes are gay !!
Gold wheels!
Swap interiors.
Bosh
1600 16v is now sat on Baxters drive waiting for him to destroy lol lol
When you picking the new one up?
No date yet...
When i can shift my shell to give me some space....
Off round Johns at the weekend to see how hes getting on with the interior strippage. Can then get a few bits of mine in to get them out my way (seats etc)
Last pics of the 1600, fitted in the astra even with the rear seats still fitted lol

Carried on with some stripping tonight, brake lines cut, servo/mc removed, dash removed, steering wheel removed, heater matrix removed. Just things like the wiring loom/rear bumper/carpet/rear suspension to remove now. :)
Hopefully get it sorted over the weekend, to leave it just as a sitting shell.
Gotta love that astra! How the funk you get it in?? Pics of the white one needed! Who's collecting the white shell for you?
Craned it up and it dropped perfectly inside the boot lol
Didnt even move about when cornering :D
As for the scrap shell, no idea mate. Will probably just ring one of those ad's in the local paper saying scrap cars collected for free.... And say ive got a Nova i want collecting, and forget to mention its a shell with a handbrake, rolling on 4 steelies lol lol
My mate could possibly collect it for you, i'll ask him if you want?
lol iv managed to hide 90% of that horrible engine loom :thumb:Quote:

John, if you dont mind mate, let me know :)
Fook mo you have been busy Nick!
i dint get out of bed till 1pm lol
Very, considering at 8pm last night it was just sitting on a house brick in his drive lol
i just pushed the c16xe on its side to get the sump off lol
I ment what colours the dash in the new one, i know what colour your white one had.
Oh, the whole interior is green, yes green lol
But Johns keeping all of that....
So i can either fit my black mk2 dash, or fit a mk1 dash(which will either be flocked or painted black)
Ah shame, that green is so horny it, would have been awesome.
I hated my mk1 dash when i had mine mk1, that was one of the reason i had to havea mk2.
Cracked on this afternoon after work. Not much to come off now tbh.

Was hoping go Combe tomorrow, but think i'll just crack on inside as weather is going be good.. Hoping have front seats, loom out the car, carpet removed.
Then its basically just the rear end exterior stuff, and the fuel tank.
Getting there dude, shame to see it happening tho.
Tis, but nevermind.
Once the loom and carpet is out i can get the windows etc out :)
Hopefully tomorrow!
Where are the pics of the new shell?
what are you doing with the wheels that are on it bud.
Look in Johns wip thread mate. I have no pics of my own atm.Quote:
