I've checked the dimensions and it's fine. It's going to take up most the garage but there will still be room to work. :)

Going to be nice 2day, get her down my way a blast!!
Sun finally came out and I thought this will be one of the last opertunitys to get a photograph or two. Unfortunatly the car is dusty from the other night when I took a friend for a drive, and of course the illusive interior has yet to be got back
But anyways...

The car looks fantastic mate well done.
Right, I'm lost for words. This build is pretty much what I'd like to do in the (not too distant, hopefully) future. Not only lost for words, lost for superlatives as well. :thumb::thumb::thumb:
Keith, you've earned yourself a golden chair in Nova Heaven mate. (hope this translates as it's a Dutch saying... oh well LOL)
If you ever make it to the 'ring and feel like making a detour plus few extra miles through the world's dullest country AKA The Netherlands feel free to stop by and have tea with us!
Cheers,
Niek
Thanks Niek! I think we took a detour through The Netherlands in 2005 by mistake lol! It took about 11 hours to the ring from calais, it should have only taken 5 lol!!Quote:

Well folks, Thats the Carcoon ordered, Should be like this: (in either red or blue)
http://www.citroensmclub.nl/Nieuws/Carcoon2.jpg
And I've ordered a Bailey twin piston dump valve
I'll get some photos up when I get the car put away.
Keith
Red be better
There was no option on the site, so i said either would do, so it'll be a suprise lol
i think there is a carcoon forsale in ads for free this week keith, but if you have yours ordered it will hardly matter...
oh really good jokes mate youve had me in stitches the 3 sisters and the paddy 1s were class....
Lol - I love the jokes!!
Got a confirmation for the order today, it's coming in red - woohoo :)
happydays keith, you better make sure and put some blankets in with her over the winter... lol
So is it a powered item or pump it up and leave it kinda deal?
Seems bit sad imo based on the shell treatment yours has had and will be garaged too. Overkill ~ throw a dust sheet over it at most.

Cheap car covers aren't breathable and can store moisture, not what Keith wants having spent £££££'s on his car
Dec
Might have been £10 a year to run last time you looked but now is probably £418 P.a in electricity
best thead read
The treatment my shell got is the same as Nova's got from the Factory. All new Nova shells were e-coated and most of them rotted after about 5 years lol.Quote:

For £380 and £20-30 a year to run it, it's a good investment.
Keith
you could fit a radiator in your garage to stop the damp.
I think its probably the best £400 keith has spent on this project, and for the overall cost it has cost his its peanuts.
Unfortunately not, changes in temperature hot to cold will cause condensation and warming the air causes more water droplets to become airborne and can settle on cooler items ie, cold metal bodyshells.Quote:

i see thats answered alot of things cheers.
I'ud just keep a load of wood in there instead and maybe an old duvet under it
Or just buy a nice tidy clean car coon rather than have half a forest and old duvets lying round.
People mocked Michael Jackson for sleeping in one and that was 20 years ago.
Well the courier dropped off my Carcoon this afternoon about half 12. So I set to work cleaning the car for putting it away. I had got caught out in the rain, and also took a friend a run in the pouring rain so it was STINKIN!!
So washed, dryed and jacked up:

Inner arched cleaned:

Underneath all wiped clean:

Then I rolled out the floor mat and drove the car onto it. It's just a simple case of putting the top sheet on and zipping it to the ground sheet. Finally I put the filters on the fans.

It took about 8-10 minutes to fully inflate:

That's it now until the interior's ready, i'll take it off to fit it when finished. And put it back on until march/april 2009.
Keith
thats awesome mate
i m looking at getting one when mine is built :D are the fans noisey?
