Have replaced the bent steering column so the car is sound to drive again now and the it's booked to go in the bodyshop first thing tomorrow to have the door repaired along with the roof resprayed. Therefore the car should be spot on again in time for Billing.
Next thing on the list after Billing is an alarm system. After a few people on here recommending the Toad AI606 system I decided to go with that however after speaking to a local alarm fitter today he has advised a SIGMA S30 system. Sigma are the pro-fit only brand of Toad apparently so looks like I'll be going for this...

It's a lot smaller and more modern than the AI606 and has a unique keygaurd system which means you have to type in a 4 digit pin into the alarms keypad before you can start the car so even if the keys get nicked the car wont start.
Also will be getting a steering brace/ lock thing for it!

alarm looks good mate its a shame it got broken into but atlest its all going to be repaired
Alarm looks good fella, cat1? How much if you don't mind me asking?
Yeah it's a Thatcham Cat 1 and they're around the £150 mark.Quote:

I'd get a Disklok, had one of mine for about ten years now, fit them to all my cars.
But surely you can just pull the gearknob off and then lift the lock off the gear stick?Quote:
