Bumper strips really finish it.
New bolts are good, expensive from BMW? Want some myself.
Have you ever thought about covers for the front CV nuts like corsas have?

Great Nick i would also loose the lockers
Vaughan...... cheers fella
Mk999....... Thanks and I have the code for said lock nut key if I should ever require another not that I will be overtightening however! ;)
L14mnp... To be honest I dont mind the lockers as their a damn sight better looking than vaux ones! Their heads are a fair bits smaller making it look a lot neater. I darent not use them now I have them! I think that would just be asking for trouble however I do know what your saying. :)
Aw06..... I Didnt think about corsa covers actually? I have the compomotive centres however they dont fit as these must have been rally issue wheels so they dont have the extra recess for the caps etc. I spoke to comp a while ago about it but the wheels would have to be machined and I havent long since painted them so It'll have to wait until next year! The standard bolts are approx £2.50 each and lockers come as a set at approx £40 I think to the public etc. Good job I get big discounts!
Hybridturbo.... As above........ I have them so I think It may be a bit daft not to use them really. Tempting fait and all that!
Nick.
Bonnet is popped again.
Still managing to look better with every update.
Bolts arnt bad then. I think some new corsa hub nut covers would be good, Not sure how they would look on your car but its certainly something i like on mine.
I'll have to take a look at your wip if it shows the corsa covers etc. Should you want some bolts just pm me as I wouldnt mind getting you some etc.Quote:

Nick, not sure what you thought I meant, but in all your pics so far, the bonnet is on the latch! lol
lol....... You know its spent too much time on the latch of late.... It wont be on it tommorow though that I can promise you. ;)Quote:

Nick mate this car is now looking amazing, wish i could of had you do my mk1 to be fair, as Ive been back and forth so many times now to the sprayers, and Ive got to get one of the rear quarters done again as it's picked up some grinding spray at some point when it's been down at his shop, and it only just came to my attention when i washed it last week ready for some re-mopping to be done, im quite gutted, well infarct pissed off..
BUT anyway, glad yours is coming on leaps and bounds mate.
Scott
It's a car at the end of the day, pointless owning it otherwise.:thumb:Quote:

Good work tho dude.
Lewi...... Thats what touch up brushes are their for! :)
Scott.... Thanks and Im sorry to hear you've had some issues with your yellow one I hope you get them sorted out to a standard your happy with etc.
Benn..... cheers dude, I ran the same wheel lockers on the red one for years with no issues. Bmw products are pretty good in general and If they are good enough for x5,m3 and the like Im sure they'll be ok for the nova etc.
Jeff.... At the end of the day you are 100% correct, Im just lucky I dont have to run it everyday and can just use it at my leisure etc.
Nick.
it does look f*cking awesome mate!! you should start your own buisiness spraying peoples nova's and you could start with mine lol!!
Painting novas all day...... not a chance! I'll stick to the prestige marques on a daily basis I think! ;)Quote:

Its a nice thought but.... my mrs is an accountant and wouldnt hear of anything of the sort! Who knows one day I may end up with my own spot but for now Im happy were I am. :)Quote:

was worth a try lolQuote:

Your red nova has allways been high up in my top 10 novas!
Amazing car that was and i hope the owner is looking after it.
As for the mustard nova i love it!
But... i'm worried i won't like it as much as the red 1 because that was just sooo immense!
Keep up the good work fella!
EDIT - I love the black corsa i've been in it once or twice with pip and i wouldn't mind it myself if it had a bigger engine.
That's hard for me to say aswell because i hate corsas.!
+1
if nick did start his own business he wouldnt make any money at all working on old nova's the amount of time nick has put into his yellow nova if you were a paying customer and had the same job done and paying p/h as most would it would be thousands!
small dents and repairs are where the money is, not repairing and restoring old novas he would need to make a living and how many people would pay a few k to have a nova painted........ not many
its easy to spend time on your own car more often than not you dont loose out as you work in works time or after work but if you were doing jobs to make a living you would need to charge and the costs involved as nick said he would be better off working on newer stuff!
id pay a few k to have my nova sprayed like that f*cker has lol
I'm too jealous now, the attention to detail is second to none.
How much? Lol you can take a tidy grey sr in p/x!
jealous simon your sr is mint aswell!!!
Novalad..... cheers I appreciate it! In a way I wish Id have kept that corsa as it would have been the perfect daily with an xe in it. Funds were just needed elsewhere thats all.
Disco.... You are right in what you say. quality results take up a lot of time and time costs. There's only a small minority who will pay whatever it takes on our favourite brand where as many who run the type of cars I work on every week wouldnt batter an eyelid.
Si...... cheers Im glad you like it... Its funny you should mention that as Ive just had a top offer for it. For the time being however Im not parting with it. Keep on with the sr and Im sure you make it a top example. Looks very well in my opinion already! ;)
Nick.
The SR will remain! I was jesting lol, but I can see mine having a full paint job in Mustard with a LET lol.
The sound of the gearbox is miles better then the boosting ;)
I think you would be lynched if you did that! lolQuote:

Shaun..... Your right there! As you once said to me the sccr box makes the car.
Ben.... Thanks fella I appreciate it. :)
Weathers drying up here so with a bit of luck I'll be out again later... twice in two days!
Nick.
