hi, read all the way through your thread and the space frame looks spot on, the only thing i would say is that compared to the sports protos that i work on that are lighter but take more force due to the aero package, i think you need to think about adding some more strengthening to your suspension top mounts (for the coilovers) as i would hate for you to go out the first time and one of them give way because you put one strengthening plate on instead of two, just an idea from the experience i have had with space frame stuff.
i have seen some with mounts in the wrong place and not adequatly strengthened crack badly and its taken a lot of effort to get them right.
Love the build and good luck with it all, cant wait to see it for real!
Cheers for the input. Do you mean on the front coilovers or the rear or both?
There is another tab to be added to the rears with a brace between them both.
I certainly dont want anything to fail lol especially the suspension.
BTW whats a sports proto? Please excuse me if im being thick.
no its just guiny currency, but he and i are extremely impressed, he waddled quite alotlolQuote:

i would say mostly the rear but would add a bit to the front too, on the front where you have an almost vertical plate welded to the mount itself on the front, add a bit more in the corners, the rears could be tied back down on to the spreader bar.
No not really someting you want to fail, i have seen it happen and its not pretty or cheap when you have to replace the whole rear space frame.
sorry sports proto is short for sports prototype, these are what i worked on, basically an F3 car with glass/carbon fibre drapped over it.
