Mr Tall, thanks for reading!! I'm completely useless and ditched the boxes without writing down the number!! I've had a search and this is the number I came up with, think it's the actual FAG bearing number.

I certainly didn't pay £38 a bearing, think I paid £49 inc VAT for 2.
Benn, I couldn't come out the top cos I didn't want to drop the gearbox oil so had to leave the shafts in!! I'm guessing the bonnet comes off? then shafts out and drop it down the re sling it and bring the cambelt end up and out first?!?
Quick update, I didn't get any pics, cos it was raining and I was hangry.
All back together and road tested, doesn't appear to be leaking on return to the garage, I'll check it again a bit later with fingers crossed, paddle clutch is like an on/off switch, loads of fun!!
Picked up a little foot pump and tyre pressure tester for the trackday box, also got 20 litres of 10/60 triple X oil, it's only cheap but as the engine isn't lasting forever I'm not putting Millers in it, don't see the point!! Used some pink coolant, looks sexy.
On the road test I scared the bejesus out of myself, the Rainsports are nowhere near as good now in the wet as they were before I cooked them at Brands!!! Might have to invest in some new ones for wet trackdays!! They'll be no good at all on track!!
So all set fro Snet, ooo that rhymes, just need to get some cooking stuff so I'm not cooking on Iain's pathetic no heat wet start disposable BBQ again.

No worries Mr Tall (very) I've got a garage I can work in just, I put the engine back in last time in the garage but that was when the shafts were out the box but still in the knuckles so I didn't need access to the wheels!!
Just been out to check and nearly 2 hours after the test drive and boom no leaks, obviously it's a Vauxhall so there's no guarantee that it wont be leaking tomorrow!!
Just need to jack it up and get some brake cleaner on the underside and the oil cooler pipes that have oil in the braid where they leaked when I was mucking around!! Other than that we're good to go for Snet!!!!

I've never taken one out the top, it scares me, I'm a lift installer and deal with lifting big things up very high all day everyday but can't get past the thought of lifting my engine out the top of the engine bay!!! I have images flash through my head like The Monk in The Mean Machine, mostly involving engine droppage onto radiator and feet. Can't shake it off!!
I just need a bigger jack and some more manly axle stands!!
Why? There is no real reason a engine can't go either way.
One reason i say is if its out the top you dont have to have the car balancing on 5 tyres and axle stands at max reach. So safety there.
But it's just as easy thought the top.
Believe me it's just as easy. A let and F28 fit in from the top...
But yes a good propper lifting strap is a good thing to have. I would never remove an engine top or bottom with a bit of rope or a seat belt.
Always out through the top if you do things properly.
Out the bottom or go home.
Good job on fixing the leak, now leave it alone before Snet lol
