Decking the block isnt worth it unless your doing it to increase the CR. If the head looks alright, Don't worry with skimming it.
A hone may get those marks out, I was just being a picky ******* on msn, I'd want it perfect lol

See i'm not sure what to do. So... Some people say its ok some dont.. But take it some where to be checked.. But then it was fine before..
if you take it anywhere to be checked they will blatantly say it needs doing just to get some business out of you
Id take it to someone whom you trust for a good opinion. It would be a real pain if in eighteen months you have to go through it all again. (Mind you I bet you'd enjoy it! lol) Do the best you can within your budget Id say.Quote:

My engine is a similar spec to what you will be running Benn but I fitted a cometic gasket and arp's throughout just for piece of mind that it would be stronger. Just wish I'd done the clutch and oil pump right first time......
