Yours should be lighter than that by now anyway shouldn't it? I thought you plan was to leave it sitting around doing nothing so it would rot the weight away ;) lolQuote:

Ste its 1640mm wide, the wheels are 7inch wide on a 45 ET iirc.
As per usual cracking progress. Excellent :)
I don't know why but I keep getting the urge to sit on your rear quarters with a fishing rod lol
BMW M-sport used to leave engine blocks outside to rust before using them, figure it can't help to try it :confused:Quote:

Evening peeps! Here are this weekends efforts and fook me was it warm rubbing down - i had a dust mask on and the elastic straps have left a un tanned mark on my neck lol
Again as there is a lot of dust involved and not much progress of any real interest other than the various stages of rubbing down there isn't that many pics to speak of, but after another two days of sanding i feel i'm getting somewere with it now.
Here is the N/S after a rub down to see what areas still needed some attention, fortunately there were that many thanks funk
http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/g...hfiller056.jpg
And here is the O/S after quite an amount of fettling - in the pictures below i have just applied the first guide coat so most of the filler work has been done and the shape of th arch is coming together
http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/g...hfiller057.jpg
http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/g...hfiller058.jpg
http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/g...hfiller059.jpg
I could now rub the guide coat back gently to find any high or low spots in the filler and get the line across the arch correct
Please excuse the next pics the sun was out and i couldn't get a decent shot - after the guide coat and a little more filler added/removed from certain areas.
http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/g...hfiller060.jpg
http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/g...hfiller061.jpg
http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/g...hfiller062.jpg
And one from behind - the arches are pretty much level
http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/g...hfiller063.jpg
http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/g...hfiller065.jpg
Once i was reasonably happy with the shape of the O/S i masked everything up and hit both sides with some proper out of the gun high build primer (not the yellow Halfords w@nk) giving them a couple of coats and it looks ok
http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/g...hfiller066.jpg
http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/g...hfiller067.jpg
http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/g...hfiller068.jpg
Then while that was drying i cracked on with rubbing all the hard to get at areas down around the car, so only a small amount of finishing is needed before paint then the proper rebuild can begin WOOP WOOP!
And that means its nearly time to start bringing out the shiney things :D :thumb:
This is going to look mean when finished :) What front bumper are you having?
Damn wide mate. Good skills.
The original one piece front bumper i think - but i'm open to suggestions?Quote:

I hear you buddy - i will be doing as you said!Quote:

And overdose? K type?
Some thing like that yeh, i just need some extra down force for when my VTEC kicks in YO! lolQuote:

One new corsa B pedal box with RJ
http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/g...dcooler008.jpg
One freshly drilled hole
http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/g...dcooler005.jpg
And after a tidy up
http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/g...dcooler006.jpg
Then fitted in position - the MC's should arrive this week.
http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/g...dcooler002.jpg
http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/g...dcooler004.jpg
Once i was happy that was positioned as i wanted i got out the pedals i had modified previously and gave them a quick coat of acid etch followed by some matt black.
http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/g...dcooler009.jpg
http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/g...dcooler013.jpg
I then left that lot to dry, once its all back together i can make use of this box of metal braided snakes
http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/g...dcooler014.jpg
While i was in the engine bay i decide to see what room there was for a fan up front with the cooler and rad in place. I think i will be able to get a 12 inch in there.
Fitted the rad grommets
http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/g...dcooler007.jpg
Not much room with the cooler here
http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/g...dcooler011.jpg
So it will probably end up around here somewhere only a little more level lol but maybe not though i may change my mind....
http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/g...dcooler012.jpg
That's basically it for tonight there was a little more but i forgot to take a pic of that doh!
Pedal box is tasty.
good work James, still not loving the arches if I'm honest, look too out of place (just my opinion mind)
fancy selling me those 2x 888s you have in those last 2 pics, I need some lol
wow..... massively impressed by this car (still shocked at the fab work from months ago...)

Awesome work...
I have a Ford Fiesta RS turbo cooling fan, front mount Bosch item if your interested? Can take to PVG?

Thats exactly what i thought, i just need to undo the fittings and slip the engine in to make sure it all fits proper like!Quote:

http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/g...dcooler017.jpg
Then fitted them up to the pedal box (adjustment will be needed once the brakes are bled etc)
http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/g...dcooler015.jpg
And made the pedal box a permanent feature with the help of some super slim bolts (less weight lol)
http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/g...dcooler019.jpg
http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/g...dcooler018.jpg
Once the pedal boxs was secure in place i decided to see how much the braided hoses needed 'altering' to fit, the answer was quite a lot.
A rough fit
http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/g...dcooler020.jpg
Not sure were the best place to put the reservoirs is?? Some were around here but lowere and with shorter lines obviously
http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/g...dcooler026.jpg
Getting a bit ahead of myself i grabbed my front callipers from the parts storage facility (the loft) to see if they had the correct fittings in (they do) this is when i realised they were in need of a dam good clean
This is how i found them
http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/g...dcooler021.jpg
http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/g...dcooler022.jpg
I gave them a squirt of brake cleaner and the dirt along with the paint (at least i think it was paint) began to remove its self
http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/g...dcooler023.jpg
They ended up like this nearly ready for a repaint
http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/g...dcooler024.jpg
http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/g...dcooler025.jpg
So thats basically were i'm at bring on tomorrow! :thumb:
good luck with your project :thumb:
