Looks like the underside of yours is a bit of a patch work quilt, will be good to have it finally all sorted and patch up, which should see it in good stead for a fair few more years whilst you sort out finding that exceelent shell :)

Like I say Si, I shouldnt really go into it & talk it out with him but I dont regard plates that are only spot welded in place, edges of plates not welded & general blow holes & poor welding not ?400 quids worth of fabrication tbh. Yes my car is rusty as feck, if it was too far gone he could have told me or refused to continue.
Anyway onwards! Yes speedlines will be going on. I have some GSi slabs in satin Black to use for track days & general abuse.

Now the fr chassis leg is welded, I can paint out the arch & put the fr bumper on, so thats another step towards it beginning to look done, likewise the rear bumper can go on now as the exhaust hanger is welded on. Some things have to wait for other stuff to go on. (as you know)
I'm going to book off some holiday I think to help me crack on with it a bit....

Yeah well happy, cheers mate. I've treated all the welds & plates in UPOL seam sealer & started to coat over all of them in Red Hammerite to match the rest of the floor pan & inner wheel arches. Had the back box (exhaust) temporarily hung last night. Position is spot on for the hanger & it looks mean. :DQuote:
