DHdev WIP thread (56k No!, lol)

Hmmmmm, seems I may have been a little hasty...
I went to PVS today and that combined with some persuasive and very generous friends (Lee Hersey in particular :thumb: ) have convinced me to hang onto the nova for a while.

So firstly let me apologise to everyone for acting like a brat and stomping my feet, unfortunately there wont be parts available (at least not just yet).

Secondly the plans are initially as follows; Fit a standard 1.6 16v with my throttle bodies bolted on and enjoy the car like that for the near future. Whilst doing that, take my broken 1.6 16v and rebuild it properly. When I say properly I don't mean 10k rpm and 2million hp, I mean strong and reliable so that whatever power it has can and will be utilised fully all the time.

So again, sorry for spitting my dummy out. Watch this space!

Another spanner has been thrown in the works today, my mate is getting rid of the lock-up where I store it at the end of the month, so i need to find a secure council garage ( :roll: ) or leave it on my parents drive where it'll rot away :cry:

Balls Oli, thats a pain in the ass! And the council dont know the meaning of the word 'Urgent'! Where abouts do you live again? I can never remember.

Although Im very glad your sticking with it mate.

In the midlands near coventry, I might put on my best blonde wig and go and chat Novaneil up, see if i can use some of his barn :)

My workshop should be finished soon. If worst comes to worse, and you cant find anywhere local, i dont see why you cant leave it in there whilst you try to find somewhere mate.

Cheers for the offer! My only reservation would be the same as with Neils barn, as soon as I leave the car for more than an hour, a BigBlock will be shoe horned-in.
i can picture it now, I go to leave it on the first night, turn the lights off in the workshop and hear scuttling behind me, turn around and flick the light switch to see u and Dar with crow bars ready to prise the smallblock out lol lol lol
