You've got your carbs & manifold already then? What manifold have you got? My carbs should be here tomorrow and I'm going to look at the option of re-spacing them to fit a std manifold with reducer silicone rubbers - much cheaper option! lol

Yes I have my carbs and manifold already. I got my manifold from a grasstracking company called BP grassing for £150. They were very helpful too. Your best to call them as the website doesn't have any info about the manifolds etc, but heres the contact details anyway:)Quote:

As for pictures, see pages 20 & 21 (Nice one Olly) Hope that helps mate:thumb:
Not sure how I missed that bit of the thread tbh!
I'm hoping I can space the carbs out as Shaun can probably do it for me at work for a drink (or two) so the only cost is the rubbers. Don't want to fork out £150+ if I can avoid it.
With having the big water outlet that goes to the water pump area what effects does that have? Do you have to fit a different hose fo a start?
I'm going to drill out some holes for the water outlets & have a couple of bits of pipe welded in same as the Bogg Brother ones. I'm not sure what they are for though! Ive been trying to find out for ages! I know the top and smaller of the outlets just goes straight to the header tank and as far as im aware isn't actually needed, and the larger of the two as you said goes to the water pump area and I think you still need this. I know the throttle body manifolds and webber carb manifolds still have these. Does this outlet complete the water cycle around the engine then??
If you can avoid paying for a manifold and saving some pennies go for it. Every little helps :)
Yes you're correct, the return feed to the header tank from the inlet manifold is not needed :thumb: MSN
Just popped back to page 20 for the Cab set up pics, looks really good..
Just one thought though, how dose the depth of that setup compare to an SBD TB setup, as in how close (if there is/was one) to the fire wall would they finish etc? Just for thoughs who might be thinking about doing the same, who still have a firewall.

You can use a £4 universal choke cable kit for the choke Ian.
And i think R1 carbs use a barrel end throttle cable, so a standard nova cable may fit!
Thought about using a bike fuel pump? - might be cheaper than a red top or similar.Quote:

I'm sure Olz has some some CDS tubing left over from his Beamer days - might be worth a PM??Quote:
