wakey wakey!
I was awake bright and early, sadly my car is a fcukingcnut so let the vultures descend.
Breaking - PM me with requests for prices / parts. All available.
Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !
you are kidding, right
They get you like that sometimes Oli. Deep breaths and either sort the problem OR if its pizzed you off that much lock it away for a week or so. Kinda like the naughty step but for a car.
pleasev to not break it you will regret it
lol at all the small block peeps getting stressed and fitting a 2.0, or breaking the car!
Oli, i know you, and this isnt like you at all. Like Dar said, have a breather for a week or two, save up 200 quid and fit an XE lol
Youve put to much into this car, it would be a hell of a shame to bin it, and from a personal point of view, the Nova itself needs people like you to show its not the stereotypical hunk of chav rust everyone else thinks it is.
But, if you do break it, bagsy the polycarbs LOLOLOL
Totally fcuked off with the car. Repaired the damage after the random valve breaking incident, fitted the new cams with new lifters, belt, valve stem oil seals, HG, bolts, In/Ex gasket etc etc, got it running wed night ready fro Jamsport to map it on Thurs. The car was running fine when I left the workshop at 11pm, idling fine etc. Returned early Thurs morning to finish off getting the car ready (bonnet, grille, wheels back on) packed the car up ready to go, tried to start it and after a few failed misfiring attempts it locked solid and that was the end of it. So last time it was fixed I did 250miles this time 0miles. In total probably spent ?2.5k on bits and bobs this year and covered a massive 250miles....
Dar - it was already in the naughty zone after snapping the valve, thats why i'm so fcuked off with it, i never actually got to even drive it out the bloody naughty zone...
Pft, never! (at the first part, no comment about the second, lol)Quote:

Do what you feel is right, it will be a shame not to see it embarrasing the big blocks anymore, but perhaps this is a sign to move on?
The engine's always been a pain in the ass, but was ultimately worth the hassle involved cos it was enjoyable. It's got to the point now where it's not fun and the only reason to keep it is to save losing thousands, but in keeping it I'd have to spend thousands more...
