Some more mincing means that the gear linkage is done and the chargecooler is all plumbed in - albeit with pikey pipes, but new silicones are on order!

Pre-rad fitted (with fan/rad fixings to the main rad)

Finessed the trim I cut for the AFM pipe and fitted a rubber strip to protect the pipe from the slam panel

Water pump fitted - looks a bit pikey - but it seems to go a good job..

Spaghetti junction - I will take all pipes off and re-route. I just wanted to test it all first!

Took me ages to find a suitable place for the header tank - settled for the bulk head in the end - trimmed the turbo cover (got a new one to go one - so this one's a dummy) will also need to cut the mount flush and tidy the bolt etc - but needed to make sure it all fitted and the bonnet would shut! lol

Also fitted the GSI sound deadening I bought about 2 years ago to the bulkhead - that was done before the engine went in btw!

Fired up first turn of the key - I obv made sure that the oil pressure was up etc first by cranking with the ECU disconnected.

Let it run for about ten minutes to cure a few leaky water pipes and then started to fit the charge cooler...

No pics though I'm afraid - still need to wire in the pump and res for the c/cooler and need to do the gear linkage, but then its off to get the exhaust done...

Weather was too nice to be in the garage, otherwise she would be out and driving now!

There is actually - well as much as there is anywhere else! (not much).

Do you mean with the header tank or with the chassis leg?

Either way - no issues.

thats ok thenlol lol lol lol lol shame you cant see it, what with the mass of garden hose pipe and what ever else he found in his dads unit.

I will try and come over next weekend for an hour or two to have a laugh at the mincers mincing.
