Produce less power? I've always wondered what the design would be like on an engine that doesn't do over 15k since they obviously don't seal as well. I figured there must be a crossover point where 3 ring setups work better.Quote:

Just sent a nice payment over to steve for a few bits so now wait for them to arrive :)
He sounds like the best man for the job :)
Looking forward to you actually enjoying your LET.
yea i know me to southie :thumb:
Hopefully built to last this time, needed the coilovers desperatly(sp?) that have been returned for a revamp :)
And hopefully doesnt go bang lol
Speak to Steve, but id say its worth having them pocketed, makes the CR slightly lower, so youll loose a bit of power, but gain some reliability.
Right working on this again today welding the plates on :)
Will update with pictures this evening, Just stopped to watch qualifing
Right not many pics today as i forgot to take some lol
Started off this morning Stripping back my coilovers ready to be sent for a refurb, There now boxed up ready for post.

Forgot to take a pick of the driver's side chassis leg but will next time
Whilst he was doing that i changed my lock's to the new lockset i bought just leaving the ignition to do but i cant get the bloody steering wheel off lol :(
Then i set about changing the speedo ring over in the f28
Split the box
http://i706.photobucket.com/albums/w...o/IMGP0239.jpg
Then i dunked the f20 Diff into boiling water to help remove the ring without damaging it. and cut the one off the F28
http://i706.photobucket.com/albums/w...o/IMGP0270.jpg
Then i put the box back together and tidyed up then got on ebay and ordered up some silicone boost hoses, not alot just for the intercooler so i can see if i can run the pipes like i wanted to with the engine back in,
Oh and a Alloy rad with 10" slimline fan :) is on its way to me
Joe
Right had a crack again at this this morning
I started off with the grinder with a wire wheel attachment to attact the areas where the rest of the plates need to go.
Big plate on chassis leg
http://i706.photobucket.com/albums/w...o/IMGP0273.jpg
then cleaned up the crossmember for the plates
http://i706.photobucket.com/albums/w...o/IMGP0274.jpg
http://i706.photobucket.com/albums/w...o/IMGP0275.jpg
Did the same to the other side of the crossmember aswell
http://i706.photobucket.com/albums/w...o/IMGP0279.jpg
Then was underneath the car for the other plates
http://i706.photobucket.com/albums/w...o/IMGP0280.jpg
http://i706.photobucket.com/albums/w...o/IMGP0281.jpg
http://i706.photobucket.com/albums/w...o/IMGP0282.jpg
whilst i was doing that i had a visit from the postman with my alloy rad and also some silicone hoses
http://i706.photobucket.com/albums/w...o/IMGP0278.jpg
http://i706.photobucket.com/albums/w...o/IMGP0277.jpg
Thought i would compare intercooler to rad
http://i706.photobucket.com/albums/w...o/IMGP0276.jpg
Its nearly bigger than the rad haha, Think i should have got a smaller intercooler tbh
So then my mate turns up with the welding mask so made a start on the welding
Gearbox side chassis plate on
http://i706.photobucket.com/albums/w...o/IMGP0287.jpg
Then the ones under the car tacked in
http://i706.photobucket.com/albums/w...o/IMGP0290.jpg
http://i706.photobucket.com/albums/w...o/IMGP0291.jpg
i then attacked one of the tiebar plates
http://i706.photobucket.com/albums/w...o/IMGP0289.jpg
Then ran out of welding wire, so will have to carry on with them tomorrow and get them finished off.
