DHdev WIP thread (56k No!, lol)

Ooops seems I've been a bit lazy since my last update.
Currently the nova is sleeping in the workshop with no head attached! The head is away having a new guide fitted, I have a set of new lifters, the gaskets, bolts and belts have all been ordered, the sump is coming of tonight so I can tap it for the thermocouple to suit my SPA oil temp/press gauge, an adapter is being made at the moment to suit the pressure transducer, i'm gonna fit a union to the sump whilst its of so I can return the oil from my new catch tank (hopefully cure the breather problem), I'm opening out the inlet manifold to match the head, the injectors will be dropped off tonight for cleaning and new o-rings.
So before PV that just leaves; re-painting the cam-cover this weekend (colour ideas???), fit the head and cams etc, seal the spare wheel blanking plate in place, fit the gauge and wiring, order pacet fan and fit, mount the catch tank, modify the brackets for the headlights and then take it for mapping at Jamsport next thursday :D

Did a little work today, refitted my modified sump with a new gasket. The sump now has a union for an oil return from the new catch tank to hopefully solve the baby valver breather prob. I also tapped the sump to allow me to fit a thermocouple for my SPA dual oil temp/press gauge. I fitted the pressure transducer for the gauge in place of the standard press switch, though this seems to close to the driveshaft so I may need to make a new adapter. Also fitted the oil catch tank and gauge and this is how they look.

Brightness is adjustable (along with every bloody thing imaginable!)

Breather tank looks heavy! Does it need to be that big??

I like how you replicate the working of a standard hazard switch by not having one lol

Hazard switch got that over used from constant breakdowns that it fell out of its hole lol

The catch tank isn't that big and its lightweight ally, plus as I now don't have to worry about breathing a litre of oil every track session I can run the oil on min, saving the weight back :p

Heads not finished, so won't have that back till 2moro and it's getting mapped on thurs morning.....:cry: I'm gonnna be busy 2moro night!

Everytime I do anything to this car it ends up being an all nighter the night before the event its needed for lol

Just got in from the workshop.... Car's still not finished and mapping is booked for 10am tomorrow morning, at Jamsport which is an hours drive away...think I'll be making an early start then lol lol lol lol
