I've painted it a couple of times - it always burns off within a month!

I painted my stainless manifold then wrapped it and then painted the wrap as it helps prolong its life. Been on the car for a couple of years now with no problems and covered just over 2K. When up to full temp you can touch the down pipes, just, it's that efficient.
I've seen wrapping done incorrectly that many time, people tend to pop the ties on and leave the fabric bare with no protection i.e. VHT paint on top if the wrap. Then they wonder why it doesn't last for long before it starts falling to pieces.

Ok I painted the exhaust manifold, changed the oil and filter, filled up with fresh coolant and rivetted the clips for the battery wiring - not much progress but I haven't got much time at the moment...Quite frustrating when there's so little to do.
hi has any one got a manifold to teak bike carbs i can buy and haw do you get round the water whats goes in to inlet manifold
