and as for it still being in bits for one i couldnt get at it for a while then i had knee surgery which im still recovering from so working on a nova with a splint from my heel to my hip wasnt top on my list of prioritys im afraid

there bit rough but as i said it was a trial fit before painting, cannot wait to get this done to prove some people wrong and wipe smiles off some smug faces lol

couldnt tell you at the minute ive no driven it when it was fitted it didnt have no front suspension or anything fitted, it was just to actually get it in there, get it running and make sure nothing rubbed or knocked etc before i painted it
Dan did you pull it off mate did u prove daveylc wrong
ah ok mate no worries let me know though if i goes well, was it hard to do i am really temptedQuote:

go for it mate whats the worst that could happen
yer im gonna i think i was going to put it in a astra mk3 but might go for a nova now, yer ive done 2 xe's and i have nearly finished me 300+ bhp nova turbo now:)Quote:

300 bhp thats roughly what im gonna try get this up to by next year not on this motor though, got plans for another lol, you driven yours yet?
ok mate will do if i decide to sell, its a good runner they sound awsome took it out of a pre emobiliser calibra aswell so laffing, i think im going to give it a go, yout got a pic you could send me of the drivers side mount?
belly257@hotmail.com
i cut off and re welded the mount a few inhes lower, ppic is on page 2, 4th pic down
ok thanks mate pic appreciated:thumb:
yer that looks good that mate i mite just do it the other way and extend a xe mount maybe, wither ways good luck with the build and i will keep an eye on this:thumb:
i was gonna mod an xe mount but the angle of the block, being a vee, put me off so i did it this way mainly because it was quicker lol
Is that an X25XE ?
If you ask me its pointless putting it in as your engine there will be about 120 hp - they were 168hp from factory and and is very heavy for a nova so maybe a C20XE'd nova would be faster as its lighter ?
am i right or am i just an idiot ? lol
if im honest your abit of bothQuote:

I didn't say i didnt like it im just trying to get a bit of info on putting X25XE's in novas is it worth it or is our normal 20xe's better ?
i think its a c25xe mate, good engine if you ask me
C25XE Is the older v6 so its propably even less hp if it is but i just want to know is this engine worth putting in a nova because of the weight of it and the hp it has ? :wtf:
If you ask me the older V6s are the better ones!!
Gd read pal, f**k the doubters!
the older ones are better and iirc there 170bhp and not much heavier than a 20xe
Huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge :thumb:Quote:

its a c25xe, its about 20bhp up standard and its up on torque, plus i have lighter flywheel in there and a 4 bar pressure reg, it wont take a lot to get it to 200 bhp, but the main reason i want this over a c20 is how many c25's do you see, then compare that to the amount of c20's
Fair point, apoligies for doubting it before mate and good luck with the build
no probs mate hopefully it shouldnt take too long now, if i get it done in the nexy 5-6 months ill be happy
