get me a top and one through the front mount photo please :p
looks like a fun project! You gonna run solid engine mounts to reduce the movement of that big lump? might help with the bonnet being close too.
Not running the saab inlet anymore, just waiting for the arrival of the cav inlet, as i prefer the look of this one!
The Saab/x25xe inlet looks miles cooler
But aye, the cav one fits easier.
Is the engine all mounted up and solid then?
Yeah matey its all done just awaiting the loom and inlet thats it!
Got it all in! and now i know why nobody uses the 3.o litre ecu and loom! it has an immobiliser on which has to be wired in and the chip ut in the key! oh the joys, but its got a spark, fuel, compression, and nearly an exhaust so will be runnig tomorrow and hopefully all sorted by the weekend!
Can't wait to see my old wheels on this beast :)
im sorry to sound like a cock but i wouldnt of botherd doing this project because 1)the car wasnt great to start with 2) my mate payed top cash to have 1 put in a corsa and he has had nothing but trouble with it. but at the end of the day every one to there own!
yeah your right mate each to their own, car wasnt great? you show me a 1989 nova with no rust mate their isnt 1! and i have built this so know if something goes wrong what it gonna be not had some garage do it for me!Quote:

Please, repair and take a look at that. The V6 weights too much!!!
And I must say that the weaker part is the rear. I am currently welding new supports for the rear springs and almost the whole rear arches. And I must make them in my own, as they are no more available on stock.
Cheers.
Their some big rust holes lol if you are doing a v6 conversion use the cav inlet as its much easier than the 3L ecu and inlet as it doesnt have an immobiliser, just need to work out where the plugs go and it will be running fine
lol is it! Not on the Nova's ive had lolQuote:

Anyway, had it runnig today so will be back at mine tomorrow night or wed, then just need to put the gsi dash in, side repeaters and the digi dash
Took it for a quick spin today its sooo F'in quick its untrue!!
any chance of a parts list and more info on the exhaust build??
Parts list isnt much really cav 22 spline inners with the standard driveshaft, or gsi one, custom made mount , cut a notch out of the exhaust and re weld then little bit of fettling to get in small notch out the gear box casing and cut the bolt down a little that holds it, but other than only the engine and ecu, will get a video up soon, took it out again just before and oh my god i know what not steering or being in control is like now!!!! lol
i think this thread is overdue some pics...
Well here is a video of it this any good? lol

Simply put mate it is, the only reason this took so long is because we didnt have half the parts at the start so had to fins them as we went and also because we used the 3 litre ecu and inlet which wasnt easy to get on, will get some more pics up soon of what some of the parts look like that you needQuote:
