Done a bit of work on the inlet today
Firstly used the ac tig to weld up the vacum take off for the servo
http://i227.photobucket.com/albums/d...te_ed/Weld.jpg
Then opened up the ports on the inlet to match the gasket as the cylinder head has also been matched.

Waiting for my new studs and nuts from vaux so i can bolt the inlet side of things on. Iv also been stripping dow the taperd bodys and cleaning them up. Sat down and wrote down my full engine spec:

SBD multi vee pulley with crank sensor
ARP rod bolts
Steel con rods
Omega 80.00 mm forged pistons
SBD steel idler rollers
Cometic 1.3mm laminated metal head gasket
SBD starter motor
Top end
ARP head stud kit
Ported and polished cylinder head
SBD Titanium valve cap
SBD valve spring platform
Bronze valve guides
SBD double valve springs

Pair of SBD/Kent 295 degree, with 11.60mm lift cam shafts

Undecided on what colour to paint the block (not important i know!) Any sugestions. Obviousley the cars going to be carbon black, think the frame is going to be bright blue?
Hi Steve.
First time I've had chance to catch up with this thread, and it's looking like a most interesting and unusual build.
I'm looking forward to seeing the way the shell develops, it will be interesting to compare it with mine.
Your engine spec. is precisely what I will be looking for if I go small block with my Nova (although I still can't decide which motor to go for).
Talk to you soon.
Colin
Evening all
Still no progress on the frame, my mates trying to get some cars finished so we can put it on the shop floor, but did go and buy this today

Got to say thanks to Colin, absolute top bloke willing to help with anything he can.
Cant wait to get it in and start having a play :D
Wow - you bought it... you must be happy!
Did he accept your offer? I hope?
the million pound gearbox one?? lol
nope, the reasonably priced gearbox for the goods that were for sale.
Paid the asking price. I went to quaife and priced up all the bits and it came to considerably more, so im happy. The bank balance isnt lolQuote:

Reciepts go straight in the bin. Dont dare tally up what the finish products going to have cost? Probably far too much for a novalol
Any updates on this?
A six speed sequential doesn't fit a nova with proper wheels and suspension.
Sorry
iirc ste is going widetrack(have you been reading lee303's thread?lol )Quote:
