Cheers for all the comments :)
The only lock I have to get into the car is on the drviers door, tailgate has been delocked too, so its got to stay unfortunately.
I admit it would look awesome, but bit too much work and not worth hassle IMO.
when do you expect the paint to be on paul ?
i would be dissappointed if it wasnt in its final colour by this time next month..
Just read from start to finish mate.
Looking mint!

So you sold a xe'd white nova.
And are now xe'ing another white nova? lol lol
Looks tidy tho, i like the steelies
i like making white XE Nova's! Nah, I got good offer on first one, too good to refuse!
get the skirt's off the white one, fit new vinyl and rubbing strips on the sides, leave steelies, and fit the valver
its staying exactly as it is, cba with fitting vinyl + remvong skirts! lol im a lazy git!
nice paul :thumb:
good old vauxhall breaker paul will help any one top bloke
I went to collect the engine today from the breakers as I borrowed my mates bigger van.
I thought I'd try and get the alt pulley off as I know what they can be like! Looked as though it was going to be a nightmare, low and behold 0 bolts removable! Grinder time...
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...a/DSC00221.jpg
What was left of the bolts, which all came out with my fingers after the pulley was off!
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...a/DSC00220.jpg
What tools it took! lol
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...a/DSC00219.jpg
And before I left I whipped the cover + belt kit off
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...a/DSC00217.jpg
Paul
Got a bit more engine work done today for the white one, changed the cambelt, which I just done in time by the sounds and feel of the rollers!
Forgot to take a pic but you can see the shiney new idler pulley here!
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...a/DSC00224.jpg
Cleaned the engine up a bit:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...a/DSC00226.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...a/DSC00229.jpg
And decided to just grind the outer ring off of the alt pulley, seeing as I had to take the outer ring off yestaday anyway!
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...a/DSC00228.jpg
And finally, got myself some new rear springs. They are softer than the standard one pictured, -90mm! (These are for my Turbo one though!)

Blue One: Decided that I wanted to block the whole car down, started last night with my mate Glenn, who has actually done nearly all the bodywork (cheers mate!). We managed to do a whole quarte door frame, pillars and sill, bonnet, spoiler, and the roof + gutterings.
No pics though! :(
Paul
you should offer a service paul "XE your nova over a weekend" LOL how many have you done now. may have a red mk1 shell to send your way for even less than the white one
Where did this white one come from, lol i was expecting to see pic's of the blue one resprayed...
Here we go:
All progress has stopped though due to not checking shafts first! Turns out I have a smallblock cav inner, its like a dick in a bucket lol

Not my best effort, but its in there!
Paul
It's alive!
No matter how many engine conversions you do, why is it when you fire it up for the first time, your so releived, and walk around with the biggest smile on your face for the next 5/10mins!
Got it booked in to have exhaust done at 2pm tomorrow.
Just got to put the other shaft in, as managed to get a Inner CV today!
Then I have a runaround and will devote all my attetnion back to the blue one.
Top stuff :)
i always get that feeling 'please start, please, OH thank god for that :D' lol
Good work, not so good progress on the blue one.
btw superglue is good on cuts, thats what it was developed for.
I did not know that, and dont have superglue, however, I do have sikkaflex/seam sealent, if any of them do a decent job? lolQuote:
