Thats quicker than most LET's, fair play if you've ran it tho.
I don't believe that power output for just the mods listed either :wtf:
gonna have to provide proof for both the power and time im afraid as they both seem well offQuote:

Hopefully give the 2.0 a go this year :thumb:
You'd need a serious amount of engine work to make 260 from an XE. Mines got a pretty big ole spec and its only going to make 230 at a big push.
Only way that spec will make that power is with a squirt of the dentists finest. Quite a big squirt :)
Got a much better time today.

Nice :)
Considering the trouble i've had with it the engine must be reasonably healthy to run those times.
Shame the chassis isn't, the crack in the leg was growing with each run, will have to weld it up tomorrow!!
lol
i did a 14.4 at pv 06 in my old valver saloon and a 16.4 last year in a standard nova gsi ? cant find my slips for reaction times n all that ?
Well today at shakey i ran 14.4 @97mph in the new one, with a sticky calipper lol
Same engine as in the silky V and that got 14.2 @98mph
Guess once the brakes are sorted and i can have a better go at it (only did two runs with brakes like that,2nd got 15.0) it should creap up.

i had a 1.4 nova with piper cam and vernier skimed head lightened balanced bottom end with a pierburg twinchoke carb and ran a 15.6 at santa pod a couple years back
This was my run on a broken tarmac/concrete air field at smeatharpe. The yellow mini also has a c20xe in it on carbs.

SRi Dave- Thats a great time for a 8v, and interior.
Is that speed definently correct? The higher the top speed is, usually the more power the car has...
Which is why i asked, as i did 15.7, but could only manage a 89 terminal.
Yours definently not 82?

I'd have thought 82mph too as my 1/4 in my 1.6 8v all them years ago was 16.2 @ 82mph.Quote:

Thats fooking quick for a standard xe and standard front seats fitted.

Was doing the PPC £999 challenge, think it surprised a few people tbh. One of only 5 cars out of the 33 (i think) to do a sub 6 secs to 60. Its getting the nitrous for the next York visit.
