yeah thats what i've been thinking, chrome pinstiping effect, just to outline the shapes on the rim, not inside on the flat areas.Quote:

I think you real need a low profile tyre to pull the euro look off - with the car sat on its ar se :)
Cars looking good though - I had a look round it at PVS - takes me back a few years :thumb:
Dave
the wheels look great mate and looks to me that you have been busy because they were in a sorry state, but i think black with a diamond cut face will look good :thumb:
id keep the steelies over the new wheel tbh
i've a set of them ats rims lying up in work..they were gonna go on my chevette...theyd need a refurb aswell though
personally i prefer the steelies........
why not get a set of steelies..................widened..and then the typre stretched for the euro look...
it would really suit that car imo
i've a set of 14inch sri wheels........whick i thought about getting done(but i dont really know if the euro look is for me personally)
this kinda thing here...only maybe just not as wide(and a different colour aswell ha ha)

i think i'd have to admit i'm agreed here dave, i 've been messing with them for a couple of weeks now, and i'm still not entirely convinced. They'd need to be at least 7" wide to get the stretch euro look, and that would mean either splitting them, or binning them as these are only 6" wide. I think i'd be better off sticking to my 7" wide steel plan. (similar to those on that pic of the saloon.), rather than spending on these, only to be not happy when they're done.Quote:

I encourage everyone to go Euro, it's about time the Nova lost it's chavvy stereotype.
long time no update!, well since i last posted it's lost all the mudflaps (looks much better, but now i think it needs to go lower!), and i've fitted a period mountney steering wheel. Oh and i finally fitted my club sticker!
I have an ever growing list of jobs to do over winter, including, renewing the fuel lines, sorting the fuel pressure, fitting the standard sfi box back on, possibly a pair of cams/chip, fitting the dust guards on the rear shockers, sorting the exhaust, (possibly considering a jp system, depending on price, or i'll wait and see how dougies turns out!) The brake are also way passed their best, so i may replace them with some new (possibly courtenay) grooved 256's, and i'm also considering a rear disc conversion, but using astra g stuff. All of the brake work depends on if i manage to complete my widened 13" steels of course! in which case i may use some tarox discs and harsh pads. The bodywork is getting a bit shabby here and there, i was tempted to tidy it up, but i think it kinda adds to the character of the car, (kinda ratish!!) so i'll leave it as it is for the time being
Anyway more pics when i've configured my camera to my new laptop!
Some pics, new wheel and 8 ball gear knob. (cheers rob!) De mudflapped too.

nice mate love mk1s
john fancy sellin your old floor mats?
and how much were the new ones?
Nice john, subtle little touches always make a diffrence.
I take it vauxhall had sold out of green vauxhall mats then? lol
VEry nice John, paintwork looks top notch for a car of its age.
But i dont think the satnav fits in with the 1985 interior lol
Dave the mats are out of my old car, not exactly in keeping i know, but i'm struggling to find something retro!
Dave i only have the fronts, i seem to have mislaid the rears. I bought them from work when i had the blue car on the road.
Ad the sat nav was for when we went to bruntingthorpe, fat lot of good it was though, mine took us to an industrial estate about 3 miles away!
Lol@ retro interior and then space age tom tom!
Love it :D
is it going to make an apperance on the 11th in cannock ?
i used to own a silver moss nova GL it was my first car !!! loved it due to the SR dials !!! B372VTA got scrapped by the chap who bought it off me!!
ill still buy just the fronts lol, ill let you know john :thumb:
probably not, i'm hoping to be at the classic car show at the nec.;)Quote:
