looks good now matey! nice exhaust!
Car looks the dogs danglies mate.
How much was the exhaust system?
As above... itching to know how much it was?
Haha dunno how I missed those questions - Sorry!
The exhaust system was ?110 and the manifold was ?100 off http://www.eurorallye.co.uk/
Ended up poking rust holes through various spots so a trip to Tom Reid was in order! An entire day today (excluding coffee drinking and pizza eating) was fairly productive :D Good work Tom :thumb:
Woohoo holes in the battery tray:

Plated up:

We also treated some horrible looking welding done previously:
http://www.iainel.co.uk/images/forums/NovaWIP/44.JPG
And did a proper job of our own on the other side :D

Also plated inside both front turrets and both splash guards so it's all mint :D:thumb:
Nice work.
Shouldn't be long till its on the road then eh! :p
Nice build Iain. Looks brill.
Top job :thumb:
Looking good Iain, should be on the road soon then:)
Nice build iain, looks like mr reid is a man of many talents! Are those holes behind the rear shockers?
Ps i love the lux cross spoke alloys, perhaps you could get some 15" cav expression wheels (they look identical), that way it will always have a bit of "luxness" if you get me?!
I had 12 of those wheels at one point mate, only got 6 now (Cav Expression ones)
He is a damned good welder and a top bloke :thumb: Yeah there were holes behind both rear shocks which are now plated. It's a nice idea about the Expression wheels but there isn't much Luxe+ness in the shell anymore lolQuote:

And we decided to get the rear end looking rather tasty with a custom strut brace and extinguisher :D

And that's the rear end done!

Also we decided to repair the arch instead of go through the ball-ache of replacing it. A skim of filler and they'll look good :thumb:

As it stands now on my Astra alloys and AVO adjustable damping suspension :thumb:

Nice work Iain and Tom:thumb:
Wheres your GSI bumper gone?!
It fell off lol It also was looking a bit rough. Thought I'd better put on something that'll stay on for the MOT and see about repairing the white ones.
look's good,
Nice work, interiors looking cool now.
Get tom to make me up a rear brace lol
Rear arches are now reconstructed and nearly finished

MOT's booked in for Saturday :tard:

looking nice!!!!
Arches willl look much better when painted.
Good luck with the mot :)
MOT passed 3rd time, failed on chavvy numberplates and goodridge brake lines fouling the chassis as they're slightly shorter than standard and sit differently (ask for pics if you're having the same problem to how I fixed it)
Car's pretty much finished now:
Painted (with cans, decided to go for the budget option lol)

Nice one, good tyre choice :p
Get to Pod on Sat!
Looks good mate, what happened to the GSI front bumper though?
He realised colour coded bumpers on a white car aren't cool,Lol.
And is too lazy to paint them black? lol
It got a bit battered when it was getting towed somewhere and then the iron came off the back. lol It's in my back garden gathering snails, will no doubt fix it up and use/sell it soon.
Edit: WHITE BUMPERS ON WHITE CARS LOOK COOL.
yes white bumpers on white cars look cool, looks good ian not a bad job for spray cans really like it nice one .
:thumb:
Dunno who I was trying to kid  Don't think modified cars are ever finished.Quote:

Also I was having problems with my exhaust swinging about whilst driving. Thought I'd try out some poly exhaust mounts from RallyDesign. :)
Old mounts, look a bit worn:

http://iainel.co.uk/images/forums/NovaWIP/67.JPG
New mounts, orange ones are obviously going to be better than black ones :thumb:

Quite impressed with them actually, the exhaust now feels quite solid and shouldn't flap around as before. :thumb:
where did you get them from as mine need anew set and orange looks rather tasty
nice ian strut brace looks good
RallyDesign PolyX exhaust mountings. They're stiffer than the standard rubber ones so the exhaust doesn't move as much.
Bays looking cool and clean :)
