lol,
them wheels need to b anthracite m8
y :?
i dont really like anthracite
i do i want mine doin that colour
imo u cant beat dark couloured wheels esp on a red car,
its ure car tho obv
have you had a look for them lowering springs yet mate
im in need of some
i have 40mm i think, i honestly cant rememba tho - will look again this week
well be quick
i need some :( :(
got to do the doors tomoz as well as put on the bonnet skin
got to get rid of the panel lines on the top of the door
You do know that it'll handle like a pig on et38 rims don't you?
Also I'd watch how low you go as the rims do tend to stick out a lot and look like their gonna get very close to the arches once lowered (Because of the offset on the wheels).
i know :D
i grinded the lip down and then pushed the side out abit to make it fit
i have had it with out spring in to see so have tried it
Christ.. wondered why this topic was getting so long...
I have seen a nova done like that, howver he used a panel beater to shape the arches. Then again he did give up after doing that.. lol
when i get it all done ill have to come and show you as im only down the roadQuote:

what i did notice is that the bonnet fits better on a mk1 bonnet rather than a mk2
i thought the only difference between the 2 bonnets was the mk 2 had a badge?
i think on a mk2,just below the badge is a bulge if ya know what i mean
in the middle of the bonnet
i dont think it has it on a mk1
but i might be wrong
sorry epo
your right
it is just the badge
what also fit better is the light and the grill on a mk1 i think cos on a mk2 it is quite tight
dont know how any one else got on with it
u got any pics of ya bonnet m8 :+:
got a feelin im gonna really like this car when its finished.
how was the bonnet to fit as some peeps say it's a rite bstard and sum say its easy???
p.s get ya rims chromed :D :D :D
it needed some mods to fit correct
ill have some pics tomoz mate
how much do you think it will cost to get the wheels chromed
More than it'll be worth keeping them for - personally I'd sell the Momo and get some used 15" or 16" alloys that are a better fit - Look in breakers yards for some 16" off something like a 4 stud MK4 Astra or even some 15" off any Calibra / Cavalier / Astra etc etc.Quote:

Just my 2p's worth though - take it or leave it.....

My thoughts are that one of the main charcteristics of the Nova are the square arches and you've done away with this. It will no doubt be an individual car and I hope it works out for you.
Lets hopw you keyed and preped the surface well. Also, lets hope you got rid of any rust under the filler. The last thing you want is for a couple of rust spots to appear after all that hard work.
Good luck with it all, look forward to seeing it in the flesh.
Jim
it wont be long jim till you see it
ill have to pop down sometime when done and show it off
dude youre gonna spend more on sand paper than the cars worth but if it makes you smile cool go for it
those arches look mad!!!! 8)
kinda looks like a 3dr version of a 5dr nova
just spent all day puting a numberplate recees in the back bumper
pics to follow soon
