Very tidy. Exhaust looks good.
With regards to the seats, all black velour gets my vote. Blue/black will hurt the eyes. IMO.

64>70mm J's Racing Tapered Throttle Body recieved today.
Not sure if i'm gonna fit it or sell it and buy a true 70mm through TB and 70mm Ported RBC Intake from BuddyClub.
Tapereds generally produce more power/torque across the rev range with a better throttle response. Backed up by SBD here also: http://www.sbdev.co.uk/Tapers_Over_MT.htmQuote:

Maybe on Individual throttle bodies.
Not on a single into a plenum.....
Aha! Didn't notice the "body" rather than "bodies" that'll teach me not to read properly lolQuote:

God, I wish i had ITBs!!
I would imagine the noise is rather darn sexual on a nicely set up Honda lump  must be easier to get 2nd hand and roughly the same price as C20XE ITB's surely? Although it's not like they're in the same price range as what you're paying for a single TB upgrade I guess lolQuote:

The standard intake is very good and awesome gains can be had by just fitting the RBC intake manifold (along with a map tweak) from an Accord Euro R, which I have.
ITBs are very expensive. c.£2k for not a lot of power.
RBC is £250 (70mm Ported RBC £350)
70mm True TB £300
You do the maths for similar gains.....
Only the Japs could chuck an intake nearly as good as ITB's on a road car lol
It's not perfect, but its good (RBC)
The 70mm port match to the 70mm TB is sufficient for the BuddyClub DC5 Race cars running 300bhp NA anyway
Well my innovative mounts turned up today. Will post a pic tomorrow when I'm at home.
They have sent me 75A durometer rating.....
Looking forward to getting them fitted but may be a tad vibey!!!
Won't need the J's ETD anymore!!!
Just purchased some shiny alloy sidemounts for my impending seat purchase http://www.itr-dc5.com/forum/images/...con_e_wink.gif http://www.itr-dc5.com/forum/images/..._e_biggrin.gif
Pic no worky Stoo :(
Thank you jack
Ooooooowwwwwww yesh please :)
Ordered today
Should be on and mapped in a few weeks
Aiming for 280-290 :D
Well I got the driver side mount in easy.
Pass side.... Grrrrr
Came out simples. Going back in is a nightmare. I've only managed to get 2 out of 3 bolts to the frame back in. I think the bolt hole on the mount needs elongating. I'll get it off and done this week hopefully.
While I'm at it I'll do the front and rear mounts.
I took it for a little drive, nothing balls out cos of the gearbox mount, but the first thing I have noticed is the increase in noise!!
Faaaack!!
! Its Like having the prospec back on!! It's quieter on the outside than in!!
The other thing is vibes. Lots and lots of vibes. It's not too bad when rolling or wot but at idle it's quite bad.
Still got the ETD on ATM though but that's coming off asap.
All this aside, no more movement, kangarooing etc.
Much more precise. Gear changes are smoother. Very happy. Can't wait to get the others in.
On a side note, when the Ti-C was fitted, there was no b-pipe/backbox gasket, so it got liquid gasketed which has now blown thru! Easy fix, motorfactors tomorrow.
I re-did the Passanger side Gbox mount this morning.
Took it off, opened up the holes and jobs a good un.
Solid! Happy Days http://www.itr-dc5.com/forum/images/...on_e_smile.gif
Got the ETD Removed this afternoon.
Also fitted the remaining 2 engine mounts!
All i can say is....
AWESOME!
Absolutely no wheel hop, kangarooing, engine movement, and best of all......
now the ETD is off aswell, the vibrations aren't half as bad! PERFECT!
Well worth the money, although i reckon the red (60A) compund may be less harsh for pure daily driving.
These little beauts also turned up today...

:D
Charger arrived today :D Wooooo!
Just a few things i wanna freshen up/renew and then ill look at fitting it and getting it ready for MASE :D
Also my side mounts for my seats arrived today :D
Modified the harness release buckles last night.
When they came, the buckle was permanently fixed to the crotch straps, meaning I HAVE to have 5/6 point friendly seats to accommodate them.
However, quick strip down, jiggles and pokes, and now the buckle is permanently attached to one of the lap straps making them 4point for now, and can be expanded to 6 point at a later date when compatible seats are fitted.
WIN
Gonna go fit them this afternoon :D
Harnesses are in
Rear seats removed :D
Get some pics up Stoo.
Will do when it's daylight mate :)
Ordered new IACV, TB and Inlet manifold gaskets yesterday.
Bought some new injector clips for the RCs
Also ordered whole new fresh nuts and bolts etc for the conversion.
Got the parts list from jackson and ordered up via a UK website, so everything is fresh :)
Going to order some silicone PCV and Vac hose in blue this week to compliment the SFS and coolant hoses too.
Just trying to source a Gatorback belt now.
Not long before i start putting it all together :)
Oooooooh goody gumdrops :)
Well the RC Injector clips i got were utter Toss!!
I was led to believe I was buying plug and play type adapters for the OEM > RC injectors!
Like this....

What I actually got was this.... x4
http://www.034motorsport.com/images/...Connectora.jpg
This type are installed by cutting the OEM Injector plug off and soldering these on!
Meaning that if i wanted to go back to OEM at any point, I would have to re-cut and solder the original plugs back on...
Not what I wanted!
So I'm sending them back and have bought a set of plug and play type instead!
Also got a lot of the Stainless Steel bolts/nuts/washers I ordered from Westfield Fasteners. (great site if you need nuts/bolts!)Still got a few more to be delivered.
Ordered the hoses too today.
deep pockets there stu, should be good to see it when all finished.
Dunno about deep pockets lol
Just living to my means :)
Cant wait til its built
Looking forward to some finished piccies :)
I now have pure carbon revolutions ;)
Just read through this Stoo the car looks awsome and there's some very tasty things you've done to it!
