Just in the process of sorting out a rollcage for it today, 10 point OMP jobbie, then thats it for a week as im off to Wales for a work adventure lol
Looking good dude, shame it's not a nova! lol

yeah i agree that would look awesome
Nice work mike, looking good is this.Fair play for putting balls up pics up aswell lol
Just covering it or making a CF skin as a bumper??
Dunno what Im doing with TBH chaps lol what ever I do its gonna be funky tho.
The real fun starts when I get round to building the engine though thats for sure.
Looking good Mike.
Not really read much of the thread, but whats the plan? Track beast??
Cheers mate, track aye. Just a decent spec for loony driving really. Dont want to spend to much on it though else its more to shell out when it gets stacked & its money I dont want to spend on it.Quote:

I say build it, get it on the road/track with a standard engine, see how it feels then add a cage, and modify the engine as you feel, keeps costs down till you can afford to upgrade as you feel you need to etc, IMO don't bother wit pollycarbs, unless your going for a competitively used car is it worth it??
Scott
Not really done much lately.
Sorted out where a minor rad leak had corroded the front panel
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j1...r/IMG00119.jpg
Done a bit more wiring up front etc
Converted from PAS to manual & saved 6kg +fluid though :)
Out with the old..

In with the new..

New ball joints & track rod ends fitted, got scuttle all fitted back together blah blah blah.
Finally got my hands on a Corsa GSi splitter for £15 so can make a C/K one, Bailey header tank & been second chance offered a 10 point cage on eBay but the sellers a bit suspect :(
Thats all for now bummers.
i never get second chance offers.. lol
Well the sellers a bit suspect, so Ive contact the previous winner of the item to ask why he didnt complete the sale as it ended at a bargain, no, steal of a price TBH! So will just have to see what happens.Quote:

Just need some buckets, weld in the seat rails, bit more wiring & the internals are done give or take :)
Carbon FIbre goodness, could have used black screws?

Cheers guys :)
Yeah it looks alright TBH, gets properly hot in there though so will be sorting a funky fresh roof vent for it soon. Trying to get my hands on a Sparco ADV drivers seats but they dont come up second hand very often as there £400+vat a throw brand new!!
Got some more bits arrived this week anyway, bargain pair of ATE's for £30 aswell lol decided ill definetly be giving polycarbs & a cage a miss this year, time/cost factors really as its nearly ready for engine & then virtually done.
More mincage today. Spent most of the morning in a scrappy gathering some particular bits. Managed to do this before wifey dragged my ass out for a rather average dinner at the Chase Gate (PNG Midlands HQ lol )
First one I made was to small so remade him
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j1...r/IMG00007.jpg
Fcuked around for ages with some aluminium strip figuring out how to mount this an got there in the end.
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j1...r/IMG00009.jpg
Got the roof sprayed, refitted door seals, got a piece of roof trim I was missing & made head way into reducing the dash loom.
should of phoned me :thumb:Quote:

Not doing the engine until over the christmas break, gives me plenty time for some fettling :) an a lot of smaller companys are more willing to take cash payments nearer to christmas :thumb:
Oh an the wiring is taking for ever, there a 2inch dia loom behind the dash Im yet to sort through, then repack & wrap the loom the same as the rear.
OK then mate fair do, i just want to see you finish this, thats all :thumb:Quote:
