Just an fyi, insides paint is good. All the insides going all black?
its actually not black, its a dark metallic grey, tis all sparkly :d when the car gets out in the sun ill take a better pic of the colour.Quote:

my brother bolted on his wheel to see how silly it would look lol
http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a2...t/SAM_0437.jpg
very silly, so then wheeled it out to see how it was sitting
http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a2...t/SAM_0443.jpg
http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a2...t/SAM_0445.jpg
fairly low but no where near low enough for my liking, looks well though out of the garage
i then thought i would see how low i sit in it, to be fair this is without the seat foam but i facking love being this low, with the foam im about an inch higher.
http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a2...t/SAM_0446.jpg
http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a2...t/SAM_0449.jpg
we then pushed it back in and decided to see how low the fks could potentially go
http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a2...t/SAM_0453.jpg
would need **** loads of work to run this low, the sill is 80mm off the floor like this, with 14's and lower profile tyres i hope to get that to 50mm off the floor :D thats the plan for billing
another pic of the back
http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a2...t/SAM_0452.jpg
Awesome work! Loving the lowness! And haha at you sitting that low...
I have the prob with the saloon arches, that it doesn't look as low cause the arch lips sits so much higher than the hatch (where it follows the tyre) if that makes sense.. Sill to floor is lowness is good.
exactly, on the back if you follow the line of the top of the bumper thats the hatchback arch i believe lol, its then you realise how low it is.Quote:

Lovin the drivers position! I've still got my old tubs if u want them? Rears r easy to get low its the fronts that r a pain.
you say that, i either need to modify my chassis legs or beam lol. let me have a look at clearance tomorrow and ill pm youQuote:

The front ur wing lips will need sorting and ul need to tub the inner wing to run low low.
80mm is very low, let alone 50mm. Mines being setup at 100mm ride height and its gonna need major work. That is on 17s running a 598mm diam.
the beam is actually pointing up lol, the handbrake cable guide is only about 5mm from the chassis leg so will probably come into contact, another part is close to the lower inner arch seem so needs fetling aswell.
the main issue on the front is the inner arch is going to need cutting and moving lol which is crazy.
not sure what my diameter is, ive got 185/55/15's at the mo
this is only going to be my show set up, every day running will be much higher
You'll be about 585mm.
I forgot about the cable mounts.
I'm on iphone at mo but i'll postsome pics tomorrow of how much i chopped away. You'll have to have it rock hard to limit your movement.
Whether you can tub the fronts depends on what uve got in the way i suppose ie afm, filter.
its only the backs of the arches by the splash guards where it touches, even then ive got a plan for the engine which means theres nothing on the inner arches either if it comes to that aswell
Roll the arch lip out flat, give the arch a better look and is much flatter so the tyre tucks up in there nice. Looks much better too.
Notch the chassis lip where the hand brake cable sits, you only need a small cut out, mine's about 5mm and works on.
Been thinking about the beam - can u not raise the back plate and add strengthening behind it so it sits level again?
ive never liked the arches like that for some reason, plus thats cheating :pQuote:

i decided to get my new pulley on and get the engine timed up, this took me literally hours down to not having the correct tools :( but got there in the end
http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a2...t/SAM_0459.jpg
then decided to fit my freshly acquired corsa rad
http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a2...t/SAM_0458.jpg
fail one - couldnt get the fan off
fail two - hose take off facking fell off, i twisted the hose and off came the outlet as well :mad::mad: not best pleased, means i have to try and use the tiny baxtered rad instead
being as the fail was strong at this point i decided to do something easy and set about getting some grey primer on the A-pillars, **** **** treble ****:mad::mad: bludy reacted and i got overspray over the scuttle panel, my phone and camera.
so in 3 and half hours ive basically achieved feck all so came in to sulk
i never had a heat problem with my tiny one lol
its only a crappy small block, dont need any water, it dont have the power for a need to cool it lol
how the funk do i get it in with the engine in :(
in where?
you dont lol
even adam told me, put the rad in first lol
manifold off?
and people wonder why i hate novas
cos your a closet sado-masichist?
you also need to remove the coil pack to drop the fan in lol
Gutted mate, keep up the work though.... Will get there in the end :)
keep up the work, stay positive, it'll come together soon enough
tried to get better pics of the interior colour, i think i failed lol can see its not black though

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a2...t/SAM_0461.jpg
Sorta graphite. You played with the beam anymore?
no not yet, im going to get some 10mm plate and make new stub axle mounts and then put them on a spare beam so that it can stay rolling for now. i think im going to aim for a 50mm drop on those plates alone. that'll be after pv thoughQuote:

well this shiny big sheet of ally turned up today which kinda spurred me on to get my **** into gear today
http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a2...t/SAM_0462.jpg
started by chopping out the floor
http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a2...t/SAM_0463.jpg
then neatened it all up
http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a2...t/SAM_0465.jpg
i figured this was a good time to clean up the chassis legs as well
http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a2...t/SAM_0466.jpg
http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a2...t/SAM_0473.jpg
then bolted on the 'powerbox' and connected and plumbed it in and cable tied the wires out the way
http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a2...t/SAM_0467.jpg
used a part of the shell tagging left over to make a battery cut off switch mount, the welding looks crap in the pic :S
http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a2...t/SAM_0468.jpg
and then the main fuse up here, this will be hidden
http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a2...t/SAM_0469.jpg
then through some more paint around ready for the back windows to go back in
http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a2...t/SAM_0471.jpg
