Looks awesome dude, you now see why i hate doing head linings?
White/blue with the ring is oil pressure iirc.
white/ blue is battery charge lightQuote:

Coming along nicely Edd, liking the numberplates being in the older style lettering I guess they were done a while ago?
Cheers Southie, i got them of Rich, think he has had them made up a while ago. They are pressed metal ones, suit the car well imo.Quote:

Re the seatbelts, I was going to run four point harnesses. There is an extra hole drilled on each side of the rear seat pan for the eye to go through and fit to a strengthening plate.
I had them made at the Classic Car Show at the NEC a couple of years ago. They did them there & then.Quote:

And will the rear decal fit ok now the spoiler is fitted?
As for the seat belt could you not take the plastic out put it on the bar first and some how thread it between the cage? it does look tight tho:eek:
I wouldnt cut it coz that means welding it in the car with the carpet fitted would be a nightmare if it cought fire.
I dont really want to fit harnesses so ii hoping there will be a way round it.Quote:

i think one is deffo the charge light that goes on the alternator, the one with the ring i think ? Do 2 wires go to the sender ?
Cheers, i know about the bumper, REALLY REALLY want the correct one but cant find a new or as new one anywhere :(.Quote:

The one in the midle goes to the altonater the other 2 go to the snder. Cant see why it wouldnt work mate just make sure by testing it with a oil preasure tester.
Blue with yellow tracer is the signal wire & brown is earth. Just checked early and late and its the same for both so your sender might be off something else like an XE. Either that or the earth stud is not used and the wires both go the the plug.
Do you have a part number for it? I can check on EPC then
**Edit** can you clean the mucky finger prints off the firewall please ;) lol
THIS is the sender iv got, Part Number: 90337695N
I don't have a brown wire tho.
I did notice the finger prints !! lol nightmare keeping it all clean tbh lol
26 switch, Oil Pressure (2 Connections)12s, 12st, 13s, 13sb, C14se, E16se
Chassis range -J4999999
Part number 90040918 12 52 5581
27 switch, Oil Pressure (2 Connections)12s, 12st, 12nv, E12gv, 13s, E16se, C16se
Chassis range K4000001-
Part number 90337695 12 52 563
26 is the correct one but EPC lists both as '2 connections' so should still work.
Sorry, both wire are blue/yellow. I have just been out to the garage and checked mine. Read wiring diagram which shows a wire going to earth and I wrongly presumed it to be a brown earth wire.
Nice one for looking, the ring on the stud and the other to the plug then I think ?
Top work Edd ;)
Nick.
Find a plug down the breakers & put it on the loom?
Nice update Ted, sorry we havent caught up whilst you were off.
The Nova is looking great mate, great project, really liking it :thumb:
What stuff did you use for the heated screen? Where did you get it from?
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/OIL-PRESSURE-T...item35a4011fa7
This is what i'm using on the sport, not bad value at £13,
Great update, how much room is there between the seat belt mount and the cage? I cant see any other option than to use harneses if the mount wont fit between the cage and sill. Can you not fit the belt them put a load of force on the cage and push it into place?
looking good!
Any more updates Edd ? :)
Il sort some pics tomorrow, been doing a few bits :thumb: All takes time tho.Quote:

THE BEST shocks for any nova, had them my old XE, awesome stuff.
Looks good fella :)
Only the best, need to get my finger out and fit mine
Not much use as your sing an SD cage, but theres absolutely no chance with an omp.
However, I put a rear SD cage in a gsi, and we kept the seat belts, we already had the bent metal mounts in, try unbolting cage, then putting them in, then putting cage back?
Having another look/think/shout/bend with the cage tomorrow, hopefully get something sorted with it.Quote:

MAybe because we pulled the legs in it fitted?
The only way of it fitting is if you bend the metal rail for the seat belt, i have a few in case it goes wrong lol
Just hope you dont crash and need that bar to be rightlolQuote:

http://i499.photobucket.com/albums/r...Picture007.jpg
Been looking in to what wheels yo have, all the ones i like are either not made anymore or the wrong offset, although i really want some 14's as imo nova's drive best with them on i have decided to use the 15" steelies i got with the shell, they seem brand new. Need to sort some tyres for them and some BMW wheel bolts in black.
Managed to get a brand new set of old skool center caps that i will use;
